Hey Sheepski,

ASq sounds like it could be a good fit for what you are looking for. We are based on Gandara & are mostly European player base & some East Coast USA as well. We are a relaxed guild but a number of us do play everyday. We have an event schedule on our website which then acts purely as a starting point of events to run as ad-hoc dungeon runs are always happening in the peak times our guild plays (Weekday evenings from about 6pm GMT through to late night & then most hours of the weekends as well).

We have already unlocked Guild Bounty & run our first one, we have the next Bounty scheduled a week later to ensure our members are eligible for the next reward & we are already building the next upgrades required & will be unlocking the next missions as quickly as we can.

We have a player base of 105 members although this includes about 30 -40 currently inactive, we tend to have about 15 – 20 people online at peak times on average.

As already mentioned, we have a guild website (www.asq-guild.org) with forum, event calendar, useful links, etc which we continue to improve & add to when we can. We also use mumble which does make dungeons & WvW runs more efficient but we don’t put pressure on anyone to speak if they dont want to.

Being in a guild gives you a regular group of players with similar play-styles to yourself for you to chat with & also to more easily form groups for dungeons etc.
Organised events, knowing you will have a decent number of people to run WvW with, assurance that any question you have or help you need there are a group of like-minded players in a dedicated chat channel, guilds are very useful tools in any mmo regardless of its name

In GW2, when you represent a guild & complete events, especially in guild groups too, you earn “influence” for the guild & they can then spend that influence buying upgrades for the guild which you in turn benefit from. There are guild banks where guildies can share things around, help each other out with items others might have use for, boosts like extra karma or experience for a 24 hour period, & bonuses for WvW forts when your guild has claimed them etc.

I personally would definitely say being in the right guild for you can really enhance your game & help extend the lifetime of the game too. If you let people know what kind of things you like to do in game (dungeons, fractals, PvE, WvW, PvP, etc) as there are guilds for all interests just as there are also guilds for casual players & guilds for serious hardcore players.
Also worth mentioning which server you are on, timezone you play in & if you are willing to change servers especially as free server transfers do end on Sunday (27th Jan) & after that time “guesting” will come into play instead which will help cross-servers for PvE gaming but anyone wanting a guild for WvW will need to be same server.

Just wanted to let you know that we have EST & PST players in our guild on an EU Server & they don’t have any additional issues over those of us based in EU so hopefully it is more about finding the right guild for you regardless of the server they are on unless you have friends on NA servers that you would want to guest with after 28th Jan update.

Senior Member (been a member min month, showed trustworthy, participation, etc) – withdraw from treasure trove, can activate upgrades, can invite/admin lower ranks (would prefer invite was a separate option)
Member – (main position in guild having signed up to site & been in guild minimum of a week) – can withdraw from guild stash, show emblem, claim forts,
Initiate – (new recruits here.) can deposit to guild stash & treasure trove but that’s about it.
Inactive Member – anyone that was member rank or higher & goes inactive goes here so they don’t get kicked but people know they are inactive for a reason & can be discounted from “active member” counts.

Tonight we had a Hide n Seek event in Lions Arch, 9 hiders & 1.5 hours later there were still 3 not found & had to give minor clues so that we ended up with a clear winner for the prize money! A fun night with a lot of laughs, it made us explore the city like never before & we are already looking forward to the next one!

We are currently a small player base especially following the unfortunate natural drop of initial players growing bored quickly of GW2 & becoming inactive but those of us that remain play regularly & we are looking for active & regular players to help our guild grow & progress in all areas of the game. We also welcome casual players & solo players that are looking for a relaxed place to chat & group as & when they feel for it. We fully appreciate & understand that life always comes first & this is just a game to have fun in & so anyone that has reached member rank or higher do not lose their guild status even if inactive for any period of time & this is something I would only be forced to consider if/when we ever reached the maximum cap of 500 members.

We organise regular dungeon/fractal runs (currently schedule 4 a week numbers permitting & further ad-hoc runs often occur through the week with a mix of guild/PuG as necessary at the moment) & monthly WvW runs (these will no doubt increase as the players require) & help each other as much as we can whenever & wherever needed.

We are happy for our members to multi-guild & also if they prefer, to primarily be based on another EU server & join up with us on dungeon runs (I believe we can also group on fractals if in an overflow).

ASq are a fun, friendly, relaxed & mature guild on the Gandara server. We are an English speaking guild, mostly European based at the moment with a couple of members in the EST time zone but would like to recruit members in all time-zones to support all players at all times.
