Who was EoTM made for?

I mean, what types of players?

It was made for WvWers who are stuck in queue. Honestly, from the limited time I had on it last night, it was a lot of fun. Less pressure to cap and hold for points, and much more small scale fighting. We had a lot of laughs knocking people off of the edge of the map and getting knocked off ourselves. I don’t know what it’ll evolve into yet, but at the moment it’s something new which has been kind of fun.

Memorable moment, we downed a necro near a bridge and 3 of us went for the stomp. He picked one of us and feared us off of the cliff from downed state, then got stomped before our engi fell far enough to actually die and rez him. Lots of laughs were had over that.

Critiques on a roaming build

My fiance is a gamer, but she’s a casual gamer that puts a lot of hours in. She doesn’t like it when gaming gets overly complicated and her eyes tend to glaze over when I start talking about build strategy. She’s been maining a guardian since launch, and while mostly a PvE player, she is unhappy with her current build in WvW for when she wants to hop in and play with me (mostly small scale havoc style). She asked that I put something together for her that met certain criteria which were:

- It needs to be fast. She felt like she was being left behind in WvW and getting run over because of it. The Staff run speed buff wasn’t doing the trick.
- She felt like she was dieing too quickly in comparison to other guardians we run into in open field.
- She felt like she couldn’t get enough damage out to the people she fights in the open field.
- It needs to be fairly simple to be effective with. She’s not going to know which tactics to adjust for fighting certain builds.
- It still needs to be good in PvE which is where she spends most of her time.

So I spent some time playing around with a build that would meet those criteria, and wanted to get some feedback on it before I have her start regearing. Thanks for any help.

Lagging ever since new patch

I’m lagging hard with this new patch too. 1-4 second skill delays for no reason I can spot. If a big event happens in WvWvW it can be over a minute, with the catch up being super sped up spikes of activity. At least once I’ve lagged all of the way to log in screen.

PA, USA. Verizon FIOS ISP, Windows 7 64bit. Connected over ethernet cord. Have tried restarting the router several times. Have cancelled all processes not specific to windows. A persistent ping to yahoo.com shows no packet loss or lag spikes on my end. Full computer restart has happened twice. Nothing has had any effect on the spikes. I can’t find anything where it might be on my end, but not everyone is having the same issues.

At this point it is the last thing I need in the world for map completion. Tried SoS, IoJ, MAguuma, and my home server JQ. It doesn’t seem to have reset overnight.

Went to Henge of Denravi. The snow pieces were there, but the Diesa plateau pieces were not. Also, on JQ, you can no longer repair the signs or get the jewels off of the dead refugees.

I’m having the same issue with being able to find neither on the JQ server.

…it’s World vs World. It’s not set up to be fair. You will get jumped. You will be stomped by a ton of players because you walked around the corner at the wrong time. You will run up against classes whose builds are set up to be able to take yours apart. You will think you handed some one their kitten only to have their friend gank you out of left field and rally them. You do not get to decide to deny them anything based on your own measure of fairness. Thieves have nothing to do with that. If you have a legit gripe about winding up dead because you shot shot a door then a map switch option popped up, suck up the first mistake as a learning opportunity and don’t do it again. /endtopic
