Guild Wars 2

I have a question about buying Guild Wars 2 digitally, When you buy the game and receive the activation code or serial number Is there an expiration date when to use it? Cause i want to buy it on sale but wait to give the game to my friend when its closer to Christmas time. Does it just stay in your email until you use it?

I am having issues too crashing randomly need help. I recently update drivers, but now when it does crashes, my mouse still can move in game but cant do anything, can hear background noises still playing normal. I am able to alt control delete force quit gw2 in task manger.
