Regarding kitten I just sit and wonder sometimes at the idiocy of it all.
A site programmed not able to tell the difference between perfectly written English and rude oaths even when separated by a space.

Hi, I am on the second last chapter of the HoT personal story – Bitter Harvest.

As I only play solo (not in a guild) and have never done a dungeon or fractal to gain any better weapons and gear than Exotic it may be that I will struggle to complete the last two parts of this story and may have to put it to one side and start Living World Season 3 (LW3) instead.

My question is can I partake in LW3 with only Exotic gear and expect to solo most or even all the content. I ask as it’s just not worth wasting money on LW3 if there is no hope of a reasonable solo experience.

Thank you for your responses to my question.

Alas I am on a European server as I live in the north of England but my thanks to the two Americans kittenponded with the magnificent offer of walkthrough assistance.
I am not in a guild and have played solo the whole time indeed I didn’t even realise I could team up in a story instance with another player!

As I love this game so much (it keeps me occupied and out of mischief) I shall log in now and again and try the instance (after trying to memorise the video walkthroughs) and hopefully crack it. It may take a while between the disappointments and rage quits but I will get there…I hope.

Alas I just can not complete this instance as I find it way too difficult.
I have watched several videos showing how it’s done but I simply do not have the appropriate quick reactions (I’m 66 in May) and can not orientate myself quickly enough before I die – I can not even get up into the first cave where the boss is as the tendrils just fry me.

I have tried this story line for several hours now (had to repair my armour several times) and have alas, given up now as all the fun I have been having has been sucked out of the game.

I understand that this is my failing and no one one else is to blame but is there any way to bye pass this instance and move on to the next phase of the story? These fast jumping/key-stroking puzzles are just too difficult for me. When I was playing Living Story 2 I could not complete two of the story lines as I found them too difficult so I just skipped to the next one (I managed the final one).
If not it does seem that I am done with HoT and that would be such a shame as I really was enjoying playing.

Any help would be much appreciated.
