I did it over and over again for three hours (not counting the break I took for a shower). Little by little I began to improve, making it consistently further, baby step by baby step each time. When I got discouraged, I reminded myself that just an hour earlier I couldn’t even get to the first peppermint sticks, but now I can consistently make the exploding gifts. When I finally got it, I didn’t even look at the reward items because I was so thrilled that I succeeded that it became its own reward.
