I would like to thank the guys in HoD bl for the fights tonight. It was [GEN]’s first night out as an organised group (about 10 of us) and I think we did well considering.

I believe the guilds we ran into a few times where tagged [DX] and [CV]. Keep it up guys

Generation Gaming [GEN] is an oceanic PvX guild based on Isle of Janthir. We have gone through a change in leadership and have decided to put more focus on WvW. We are looking to recruit dedicated Oceanic WvWers to run an organised group of 15-25 several nights a week. We have our own website and mumble and will be getting a channel on the IoJ TeamSpeak3 server for WvW purposes. We have an established group of regular players and we run weekly events and missions.

We already hold a casual WvW night on Sundays, but we will be looking to increase the number of dedicated WvW nights over time. Beginning next week, guild WvW training will be taking place on Wednesday nights. This will focus on open field fights and cohesion first and foremost, after which we will attempt put anything we have been practicing into use on the field. Once we have recruited a sufficient number of people, we will hold several training sessions with other more established WvW guilds on our server. The long term aim is to have a consistent, highly organised group of 15-25 on most nights of the week.

What we offer:

• Multiple Commanders
• Guild training focusing on open field combat
• An established tight nit group of experienced players
• All missions unlocked – we do our missions at 8PM Friday nights (Sydney time)
• Weekly events (temple runs, sPvP nights ect.)
• An sPvP arena we use on sPvP nights and will be making use of in guild WvW training
• Website with forum and event calendar
• Mumble (for guild events), IoJ Public TS channel for WvW

We expect:

• Willing to learn
• Able to listen and follow
• Use teamspeak/mumble – (mic not required)
• You will have fun

It doesn’t need to be changed. If I’m speced as a confusion Mesmer, and you don’t have sufficient condition removal, then you should pay the price. Yes confusion is strong, but Mesmers can only really reliably apply confusion, almost all other conditions are random. On the other hand, if you simply ignore the conditions being applied to you, you deserve to die.

I’ve seen a few posts in regards to WvW and it’s reward. IMO if you having fun, that should be enough. However, it would be nice if there was some sort of incentive to participate to get more people who mainly PvE into WvW. I would like to see an end of week chest given that depends on your level of involvement during the week in WvW (kills, captures ect.). This would be similar to the daily/monthly chests. I assume this idea has been brought up before, but my searches didn’t find anything.

Yeah, I probably should have put it in suggestions. Although I was tired and posted it right before bed.

I’m coming close to finishing The Flameseeker Prophecies for my Guardian. I’m concerned that the aegis effect will obscure the shield and its effects. I realise there are many more important issues with the game at the moment, however a quick fix should be all that is required – that is disable the Aegis effect when the Flameseeker is equipped. I have invested a considerable amount of time going for this shield, and I think it is detrimental to the shield’s effects having Aegis awkwardly blocking them most of the time. It already has the book and the ‘glow’, it doesn’t need Aegis on top of that.
