It’s a very normal posture for holding a shield. Both Norn and Skyrim Nord derive from Norse mythology and culture. The dragon thing is in Old Norse myths, not surprising if they share some kind of similarity.
This.
Really , there is one guy holding a shield and a sword … there is snow … must be skyrim right lol?
His pose was the first the striked me, but if it wasn’t for his name Dragonrender, I wouldn’t pose this. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Skyrim’s Dragonrend Shout? It’s an important part of the story.
And Snow had nothing with this to do, other than that Nords and Norn are both inspired by Scandinavian Vikings.
It might not have been intentional but I found the coincidental clash of similarities amusing atleast.
Whilst doing my story quest I was heading for Stonewright’s Steading to meet Eir. Upon arriving there I noticed a statue of ice which looked rather familiar. I wondered, was it just by coincidence that this Asgeir is posing like the Dovahkiin and also bearing the name Dragonrender, or was this another Skyrim joke in Guild Wars 2? Either way I found it rather cool! “Cool”, get it? Because it’s an ice statue!
If you haven’t yet seen it, here’s the statue of Asgeir Dragonrender, The Dovahkiin.
I just need this one last PoI and I know where it is, but I’ve no clue how to get there!
In the first pic you see it on the map. I’ve looked all over the Great Lodge and I’ve found only one place it could be. It’s at the top of the stairs, in the home instance. The problem is, as you can see in the second pic is that it’s locked off. I’ve tried jumping over the fence to the left but there’s an invisible wall there. Another problem is that when I get into the home instance it’s not displayed on the map anymore. How the bloody hell do I get there?
You make a good point and you speak well about it. Good job man! I agree on the matter.
I vote for an official roleplaying base on the Guild Wars 2 sites. I know there’s a couple of 3rd party sites that offer some roleplaying community but I wish for an official addition to www.guildwars2.com like for example:
An additional forum branch in Community Corner that specifies in roleplaying.
or
A database for your characters showing some basic info about your character that includes an option for additional player-generated info about the characters story.
I enjoy role-playing once in awhile, but I’m not one to ditch my friend for roleplaying on one of the server where RP communities have settled. I’d appreciate a way to meet with other RPers cross-realm.
They aren’t atheist, if Charr was real they’d be more like Satanists than Atheists, here why:
In the intro it said “we killed our gods”. This means the Charr believe the gods have once lived but they have destroyed them.
Satanists hate god and all that but they’re still Theists because they believe god exists. Atheist believe god doesn’t exist and have never existed.
If Charr were atheists they wouldn’t believe there was any gods to kill in the first place.
Asura on the other hand has a sort of religion (The Eternal Alchemy), but just like Buddhists they don’t believe there exists gods, so they’re Atheists.
Humans are clearly theists.
I’m not sure if the Sylvari acknowledge the Pale Tree as a god or just a powerful being, so I’m not sure about them.
Norns believe in spirits but I guess that counts as gods.
I wondered if this quest had different endings.
I wasn’t able to save the village from destruction even though I prevent the undead from crushing the fortification before it somehow crumbled in a cinematic scene.
If it’s impossible to win the battle, then atleast make it look like you didn’t stand a chance.
Also, I don’t understand why my spoiler thing doesn’t work.
Remember that the Sylvaris do not have sexual orientation since they do not breed or mate like other creatures do. The Sylvari choose their partner purely from social interests not sexual.
In the basement before the secret passage, the mobs the kill me in less than a second. I’ve done CM a couple of times and this is the first time I’ve been one-shot by them. Everytime I engage them I jump from 100% health to defeated, skipping the downed state, I just instantly die.
If I use Zealous Blade and Healer’s Retribution, will my greatsword abilities count as a heal and give me 3 seconds of retaliation? If so, that would be kinda crazy!
Zealous Blade
Greatsword attacks heal you.
Healer’s Retribution
Gain 3 seconds of retaliation when using a heal skill.
