fun times in TCBL tonight!
fun fights in DBBL tonight, TC!
I found this post by ebay against other servers complaining about ebays higher population ironic since it doesn’t seem to apply to them
how is this ironic? he’s talking about, regardless of population “imbalance,” ARBP being bad at zerging, bad at skill groups, and bad at small mans.
ebay is heavily outnumbered and outcoveraged this matchup, but that doesn’t mean we don’t put up a hellacious fight, unlike ARBP (and they’re kidding themselves if they think they were outnumbered anywhere to the extent we are now). this is a matchup where a guild thought they were running relatively “light” with 35 people. in my guild’s case, that’s more people than we’ve ever fielded, even on reset nights.
honestly, this was a pretty pleasant matchup and unremarkable thread until the level of objectivity slid and baseless backpatting on all sides started up.
I had a lot of fun earlier tonight with the epic DB/EB/SoS 3 way open field fights in SoS BL around Bay. I saw Rekz, Omen, Fire and a lot of other guilds. Awesome WvW tonight.
that 3 way fight was awesome at the supply near bay and also the other 3 way between bay and garrison. someone from DB dropped a dawn for us the other night, so we thought we’d snack on some more people in the hopes of another precursor dropping; more people = more bags = more chances!
huge fights today. good times!
that DB zerg is just scary lol.
gj manning up tonight, soul/war/wfd. finally got that gvg in after all these weeks. enjoyed watching the other gvgs after us too. too bad AR didn’t have any guilds that could show.
I take comfort in knowing that for many of the forum trolls, if I met them in real life, it would be as they cleared my table or took my keys to park my car so why begrudge a little electronic gloating.
personally, i find that to be a pretty disgusting attitude to go through life with, thinking that you are somehow better than the person waiting your table or parking your car; so much so that you would deign to “allow” them to be forum warriors.
honestly, nothing is the most correct in that if we were all just kittening around having drinks together at the bar, likely none or at least very few of us would trash talk so much. most of you guys actually seem to be pretty cool folks. that being said, this thread is a lot more entertaining after the forum warriors got to it. i was a bit worried for a second. 2 pages without trolling and all the kitten ba-ya stuff was getting boring.
It is the interwebz and we are talking about a video game so smack talk is a given and all… but eventually you Reap what you Sow.
what, exactly, are we reaping? i’m going to take a page out of the ARBP playbook and post this: http://mos.millenium.org/#NA. or do you mean eventually we’ll run into opponents that actually make us/force us to try to play at our best? GOOD. i certainly hope to refine our play by playing people like adqqsty rather than throwing the same people who won’t bother learning to work together in the dumpster week after week after week.
the biggest mistake was patting yourselves on the back over saturday and sunday, not realizing that you were simply fighting half strength stragglers and pugs. funny how that comes around, right Dio.2394?
honestly, i enjoy it when ARBP teams up. it’s like they’re running straight into my coin purse to pay for the upgrades of all the real estate we hold in their zones. it’s delicious, having them subsidize their own domination.
Coordination level: Ehmry Bay

Hey BP, we took all 3 of your fully upgraded keeps last night in 8 minutes during peak time
our big 3 is the true strength of ehmry. ARBP have absolutely no answer to that level of coordination and leadership. i like the part at the end of the video…charrcat: “MEOW MOTHERkittenERS!”
I didn’t understand the random tapping of everything before that. Anyway, you’re a good Mesmer assuming you’re the one with the legendary staff.
that’s actually calp** sour (need to get around filter) our 10,000 APM professional starcraft japanese. it’s difficult to communicate over chat or voice with him, but who needs to do that when he can just read your mind?
It’s a shame Ebay morphed in such trolling server. And it’s a shame that with all the skills/players/guild oyu guys have, you can’t completly shutdown us like Kaineng could with a similar population.
while i won’t argue with the trolling part, you are really smoking something if you think we have anywhere near the population or coverage that kaineng has (or had, perhaps). numbers are often inflated, both ways. you’re kidding yourself if you think BP is THAT far behind EBay in average population and really insane if you think that BP + AR only match, rather than significantly exceed EBay’s pop.
sekz is hardly the “difference maker” in ebay. the true difference maker is rather that we have big wvw guilds that actually have the strong leadership necessary to herd pug cats and execute an overall wvw plan, something that is completely lacking on both AR and BP’s parts. twog from AR might have been able to help in this respect, but as we all know, he’s water under the bridge now.
on top of all this, ebay has many different lesser “difference makers” that add up to an overwhelming advantage. AR and BP have a grand total of zero guilds that are “aces in the hole.” several weeks into this stale, boring matchup and finally, brolis rock is a step in the right direction. there has been no appreciable improvement in play in any of the AR or BP “skill/zerg busting” groups, so a shift in strategic focus is a nice breath of fresh air, especially when losing on the tactical side.
finally, i think the real core difference between EBay and AR/BP is that we learn from our mistakes. sure, everyone has a good laugh about dumpstering, but in the end, we have learned much from this matchup (perhaps not from a combat perspective, admittedly) especially vis-a-vis our overall strategic picture. the biggest issue with ebay is/was our massive coverage gaps, highlighted by our good friend cupkalkz. over the weeks, we have advertised, trained, planned, and coordinated to address this weakness and it has certainly borne fruit (enough so that now BP’s night crew is no longer dominant and while we still have a long way to ago, we’re better able to stop BP from bleeding us out overnight). now, with doubleteaming, we have new strategic issues to suss out and i have no doubt that we will.
unfortunately, the same cannot be said of AR and BP. ebay eagerly, voraciously learns from our opponents (lessons in this tier for ebay are few and far between, however important they have proven), whereas it has seemed that AR and BP are content with their lot in life as badge pinatas over the weeks. this week is the first sign of life in an otherwise beaten down horse of a matchup.
i’m hoping the brolis rock paradigm continues and this proves to be the kick they need to make this tier competitive for once and that they make an effort to keep on learning. because, in the end, no one learns by curbstomping weaklings.
looking forward to this reset, see you guys out there.

THANK YOU! it is still currently bugged on ebay, but i guested on dragonbrand at 1700 PST, 5/7/2013, and it is working there!
the harpy event showed up for me on dragonbrand, but i killed all the harpies and it completed normally, after which i was able to use the cattlepult. now i can finally move on! thanks!!!
we need an american server to guest on that works.
ebay and tarnished confirmed as non-working/stuck as of 0500 5/6/13.
bugged on ehmry bay, anvil rock, and dragonbrand :/ 4/22 @ 2341
@AR WAR just finished watching the video from tonight’s fights, i was the necro you guys had targeted and focused in the first fight. that portal juke out of our static field kill zone was slick as hell.
things i noticed: don’t bring uplevels, practice moving as a team. your movement is super ragged. multiple times, you guys started healing up with like 4 people in the field while the rest of your guild straggled in. consolidate and then execute, don’t just drop water so quickly. also, infrequent weapon switches? need to be utilizing your full skill set. finally, for your necros, tell them to stop telegraphing their PFs. teleport onto their targets with DS2. you’re only wasting valuable time “walking” over to your enemy otherwise. plus, when i see them coming, i’m just going to boon strip and chill/cripple and shut them down.
was a blast, let’s do this again.
fun fights tonight, AR WAR! we really enjoyed tonight, keep improving! your tricksy portal tactics were definitely very interesting. strong static field placements.

And call us bad all you want but I’d rather be fighting the tougher opponent than the weaker one.
On that, we can both agree.
tl;dr
TL;DR: should have paid for our transfers…but then again, even we couldn’t have carried someone like you.
@piggy
Evidently, reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit. Who said anything about “playing to go up a tier?” We transferred here when EBay was red and we’re staying here because we love the community and, I hope, they love us. All we want are good fights and you’ll simply have to excuse us if we’re sick and tired of bullying baddies week after week. Also, crying about a 5 person difference is hilarious. We hit zergs of 50-60 with our 15-20. Clearly, you guys don’t know how to do anything but zerg surf in Warhammer.
this thread is a riot!
-Sekz, you do have some skillful players indeed, but you have you also have numbers. And you are chest bumping against a guild that are not a bunch of hs/college students like yourselves, but instead people that are way to old to bother feeding into your post =). So chest bump away, and zerg on! Also.. way to up-transfer to an already higher populated server in the attempts to leech tier advancement. That’s the way to win!
You realize we transferred from a red server specifically TO a red server, right? We WANT GOOD FIGHTS and those are typically found when you’re losing and getting pushed hard. If we’re losing overall, but at least we have opposition who will come out and put up a strong fight, we’re ecstatic. We know very well that EBay has and will struggle in T4 due to our massive coverage gaps, but primetime? Our server will easily make green and blue pay for territory in vats of blood (and badges in our bags). You guys talk as if we’re going to be sad getting spanked in T4. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Bullying you guys is seriously less interesting than me logging off my necro to catch my daily Shadow Behemoth tag on my baby mesmer. Coming from a die hard DAoC ganker who cried rivers when ToA forced PvE on the PvP population, that is truly, truly a shame.
Also, Sekz members only showed up to “chest thump” when Walabone decided to get uppity and not know his place by crowing about making some small guilds run away. I guess if you get dumpstered that hard week after week after week, even small victories are important. It’s nothing but excuses with your guild. Weeks ago, it was “we never fight you at full strength.” So we fought you earlier for at least two resets now (with the same result of crushing your group in seconds). Then it turned into, “we’re casuals,” and yet you folks posture on the forums as if your guild were an organized, legitimate threat. Now, it’s “we’re always outnumbered by the Sekz zerg, boo hoo.” I know very well that we both record videos. Under strength, even numbers, outnumbered…the result with you guys is always the same. Please stop with the delusion that you would “put up a good fight if only we could fight Sekz with our full strength.” Stop making excuses and get good, please…and I don’t even mean this snidely. You’ve had weeks of attending in this tier with Sekz school in session and the change/improvement is minimal. At least we see an evolution in good flanking from AR WAR (then again, I’ve always found AR to be a more credible threat fighting-wise even when we were on NSP), even though they are plagued with the same issue you guys have: drivers that have little to no idea what they’re doing and an almost comical hesitancy (I suppose that goes hand in hand with point #1). When I heard you guys came from Warhammer, I was hoping for a more nuanced and skilled response (seeing as how it was DAokittene) in open field battles. Evidently, that was misplaced.
It’s so boring fighting you guys I don’t even bother using anything but staff 1 and 2 on my necro to tag you guys for loot bags ASAP before you guys get dumpstered. At least with AR WAR, I’ll use 1-5. The end result, of course, is that both of you guys die in seconds, but at least they are constantly pushing to improve and at least making me work for my dumpstering. There’s no shame in being casual, but at least stop acting as if you guys were a skilled group. You guys eat pugs, we eat you. I’m sure at some point we’ll run into a group that really pushes us to the limit. There’s always yet another peak to climb and I think it’s patently obvious to everyone that Sekz won’t fight that group in this matchup. We dearly miss ADQQSty from DR. Win or lose, those were generally ALWAYS good fights. With you guys, we literally have a “beekeeping” plan where we fight you with no armor or only autoattacks so you guys will get an ego boost win and want to come out and fight instead of show up all ragged and demoralized and die on engage. The sad thing is, I think our GL is actually even halfway serious about throwing fights now.
See you guys on the battlefield.
He does read books…at Stanford. Winning in game, winning IRL. That’s what we do!

kick them in the nutz and punch them in the teefs, ebay!
DUMPSTER DUMPSTER DUMPSTER!
Sekz takes objectives all the time. Admittedly, we do it to draw out zergs, but we’re always happy to help to our awesome realmmates and smash some keeps. Ebay commanders, unlike NSP’s, know how to utilize our strengths, rather than waste our killing ability by having us siege all day.
Also, no member of Sekz runs a solo/roaming build. We wouldn’t be able to do what we like to do (zerg bust) if we ran selfish dueling builds. Every member is a force multiplier for the next.
Edit: Also, if you lag in zergs, get a better computer. We transferred to the red T4 server so we could always be fighting huge zergs. This is guild wars, after all, not fight club wars.

what is the name of the song that plays near the end (where you fight that thief and kill him using the shortbow bomb while he’s stealthed)? thanks!
