Hello all readers! I am a very active player who has just finished reaching 80 with my engineer and am now looking for a guild. I play on average 6-10 hours a day depending on if I am working that day or not, and will most likely be starting work on a necro soon as my next character.
I am looking for a friendly and mature guild (being a gay player if your vent/TS loves screaming the F word or that this game is ‘gay’ when u get mad don’t bother getting in touch with me) that has interest in ALL aspects of the game from PvE to PvP to WvWvW and everything else GW2 has to offer.
Also if you have a guild not on Gate of Madness but feel I may be a good addition to your ranks feel free to let me know. I am willing to transfer up until the point A-net starts charging for transfers.
Please don’t get mad and swing your ban hammer at me for this (which seems to be happening a LOT) but, if you guys plan to continue to ban people for swearing in game what exactly was the point of installing a profanity filter?
I would think it would exist for the very reason that people wouldn’t have to see something they don’t want to, and if people are sending reports with specific information about people swearing doesn’t that mean they have turned the filter off and are themselves consenting to seeing such things?
I myself have used profanity in game as a means to express anger or frustration with a challenge in game i.e. the AC exploration mode bosses which are insanely hard. Its a bit disconcerting to have to be paranoid about getting banned because someone doesn’t want to see ‘——’ appear on there screen. To me that just seems extreme.
Just some random things flowing through my mind as I browse the forums!
And I get it’s part of the ToS, yet again it just seems unessicary to have made the filter if people will still get banned for saying ‘——’
