It’s comforting but strange that there are quite a number of us who are returning to this game after 3 years. Welcome back, fellow veteran!

Any parallels/differences?

I personally prefer SB too; I like being able to keep my distance while still putting out damage at a good (not slow) pace.

I was also wondering what the best SB build is, so thanks for putting up that video and getting confirmation that that is still applicable.

Hey jubskie. I kinda feel weird about coming in from long range and having to switch into melee. I guess I got used to frequent switching between my 2 bows; opening with vuln/poison, and the occasional AoE.

I honestly don’t know how to go into GS also. Is it something like you just go into it if needed (like mob is approaching you, etc.?)

Cross-server dungeoning is doable, as long as you’re in the same region. If you want to go with Chopps, you’d have to be in NA, and if you want to go with me, you’d have to be in EU.

I’d also like to add; I really do prefer Shortbows over the other weapons, I feel it gives me the best balance between speed and range. Any tips, ranger pros?

I’ve been trying to build a Ranger according to DD505 for Shortbows, but I feel that I can’t maximize SB with a Greatsword.

What then is the best build in your opinions for Shortbow, and also, what’s the best swapset of weapons?
