Yeah, I have Webroot and disabled it for this installation but nothing helps. Was able to fully download it from scratch yesterday without a hiccup.
I have had the same problem tonight, but I was able to install the entire game and patches yesterday without an issue. I believe it is on ArenaNet’s end.
I downloaded the client from my two disks from the physical copy of the game yesterday midday. I was able to complete the installation without a problem and played the game yesterday and today without any problems. However, later tonight I noticed that the game was missing, and sure enough was removed some how. Apparently, my brother decided to uninstall it. So I go back to reinstall it, but it loads only about 1000 KB then drops to 0 KB/S and stops downloading. I originally thought this was something wrong with my disks, so I tried downloaded from the website directly. Same problem. Not sure if it is just me, but it looks like others are having the same problems.
