Guild Wars 2

After updating my OS X to Yosemite 10.10.2 my game refuses to start. When I launch the client nothing happens, no login panel no nothing and when I try to show all windows I just see a blue screen.

I have tried reinstalling and all that but still nothing.

For now I am running the client on a windows bootcamp partition on my MAC but restarting every time I want to hop in the game is annoying and my windows partition is almost out of space. I really just want to play the game on the Mac side so its not such a hassle if I just want to hop on and get my daylies or multi task and get other things done while I’m playing. Also my loading screens on the windows side are for some reason painfully long, at least 5 times as long (no I’m not kidding)

How can I get the client to start on Mac again?

Please help! I remember seeing something similar to this issue before but I can not seem to find it anymore

Mac version is never coming out of Beta, ever ever ever eeeeeevvvverrrrr.

I for one would really adore some Free Transmutation Charges but since Im a lowly Mac user am I kitten out of luck?
Even when the BLT does work for me which is always scattered on and off (and it hasn’t at all in the past 5 days or so) Its only once in a blue moon that I can get the buy gems tab to open.

And it conveniently won’t work for me whenever promotions are going on so I always miss out on goodies like %20 character slot expansion

I have been playing Mesmer since beta and its still my favorite class. I still feel there are a few things I could learn though because I would like to give some different builds a try.

I spend most of my time with a close knit mini 5 man guild that does dungeon runs and just runs around for fun.

I have been in some of the largest guilds before and they had an issue with me not wanting to rep them 24/7 when I went to play with my other guild which was only about twice a week for a dungeon run or two so I left.

I’m looking for a larger guild now though to join in addition to my mini guild for wVw and PvP since my mini guild doesn’t really do those things and they are not always on when I have time to play. =D

I have a semi fix for this!! It has given me such a headache because I like to use a dual monitor setup and I hate having a huge black screen on my left side when in fullscreen and in window mode the mac task/menu bar gets in the way.

TO GET AROUND THE MAC BAR CLIPPING wihtout having to resize your window resolution
Download this wonderful little software I found called MenuAndDockless

It allows you to set the top menu bar to disappear in an app that you pick. And then the menu reappears as you scroll over it similar to the dock at the bottom of the screen

Using this app I’m now able to move my bar up further and access the play button and so on, and I can use multiple windows and even use my bottom dock while Im ingame.

The only Issue left it that with the top grey GW2 menu bar still present you are still clipping some pixels at the bottom of the screen. You can sort of solve this by dragging your GW2 window onto your second monitor and then dragging it back at a higher level, this works for me because my second monitor is in portrait mode. (BUT please note this part will not work with the newest Mac OSX Mavericks because of the new way it handle spaces you need to go in and turn it off, but the WindowAndDockless part of the fix still works)

Its kind of annoying to go through all this but I enjoy not having to tab constantly and being able to play in window mode.

I’m always checking every few weeks to see if they bring the tribal armor set back, its such a fun set what gives??

Same thing happened to me D= I just realized it was gone, I finished my daily at 3:50 ish pm pacific time and then went to see what the vendor offers. now I look in my bag and its gone.
