Thanks Sir Squishy, for the detail. It looks like I’m going to be running this build for quite some time. My wife and I both run AMD FX builds.
I understand the technical differences between the processors. The point that I want to Forward to Anet is that they want to have there game run on as many platforms / CPUs as possible for compatibility… That’s fine. But, If they know of this huge % of discrepancy between the processor types (with the given, single threaded performance) Then wouldn’t it be in their best interest be to code the game to take advantage of the higher end systems AMD or Intel?
It just make me sad, that we put as much love into are gaming rigs and money to play AAA level games, and to have GW2 which is by far my favorite game, be the lowest performing game on my system…
Well, I just have to say, that’s sad, since GW2 is the only game in my library that i don’t get full performance from my hardware… Just say’in…
I was hoping for increased performance with 8 Core processors (like AMD FX series) as well as systems running SLI. I understand that GW2 is mainly CPU based… But, I’d really like to get a higher frame rate…
Is there a ‘Guide’ listed somewhere that shows how to maximize one’s systems performance for GW2?
Between all of the options in the Nvidia Control Panel and in game and the Nvidia Geforce Experience application. It’s hard to know if it’s all tweaked correctly.
Any chance our Home world transfer(s) could be queued? That way we don’t have to sit and watch the population limit for hours/days/weeks/months before we can transfer?
If we are willing to spend $35 on Gems to transfer servers, the least you can do for us is open up the, ‘Full’ servers so we CAN transfer.
Right now, it feels like we are paying for a service we can’t use
The Ascended Gear Look…
Light – Female -Looks good
Light – Male – Looks a little court jester’y…
Medium – Female – Shoulders I could go without… i think its the fuzzy/fur that’s throwing me… Helm, Lose the Mohawk…
Medium – Male – Shoulders ^ Same, Helm, lose the wings…
Heavy – Female – Helm not digging it at all, the left arm Shoulders and Gloves just don’t seem to match the rest of the armor.
Heavy – Male – Helm not digging it at all, the left arm Shoulders and Gloves just don’t seem to match the rest of the armor.
Reason for the critic:
I’m sorry, but from the waist up, I tend to cringe… I’ve really tried to find the right way to describe it… I think the best way to say it is, Boots and Legs (at least on heavy) look like Armor ready for battle, but from the waist up, it’s more ceremonial… Glitz should lean more for town garb (imho). You can always make battle armor shiny and elaborate, but i don’t think it needs Glitz… Bottom line, Please re-imagine helm, shoulders and gloves at least.
Thank you for reading a little artistic criticism from a grateful player, Keep up the good work, you are all Awesome
Please add the Locker from GW1.
Thanks.
Had an idea during lunch today… What if we had something like are ‘Collectables Vault’ but have it for ‘Skin Vault’. This way, for every skin type found by your character you could ‘save’ that skin, whether it be Armor or Weapon etc… By doing this, All of your characters could have access to re-skin at anytime. (Granted, the use of Transmutation stones would still be required to apply the skin(s) or would they? Since the reason for the switch would be just to change your `look` not changing anything about your items stats…) This idea could be expanded into a ‘Wardrobe’ where you could save a set of skin’s for a particular look, adding the ability to swap looks on the fly. Including saving dye patterns/sets.
An interesting thought if you really start expanding all of the things you could do

Could there be a system implemented that would allow current players (non-trial) the ability to send a trial invite via email, (via a in-game token or counter of sorts, giving a way if needed, to limit the amount of invites sent per account) to friends that really want to try the game before they purchase?
I have had many requests from people that would like to join the game and our guild if they got a chance to at least play the game first.
Even if the trial was only good for 10-24 hours of active logged in play time, with it ending with the Black Lion Trading Company window opening, providing them the ability to purchase one of the online editions right then and there, and then continue playing after purchasing in-game.
Yay, That’s exactly what my working friends /w kids want to do…
It should be easier…
