Suggestion/Fix: Earthshaker is to me such an epic and good skill that the primal burst at least need to be just as good or better than – not worse.
Either remove the stun/immobilize effect all together and make it do a high damage instead or do the opposite and make it deal very little damage but do both ~2 second stun and ~2 second immobilize at the same time.

Also in regards to the Berserker Primal burst skills (PvP/WvW perspective):
I really like the current state of Axe, Greatsword (the new is perfect), Sword, mace and rifle (if it weren’t bugged). But I still feel like having a worse burst skill while in Berserk Mode I am talking primarily about Hammer and Longbow:

Rupturing Smash:
The primal burst in Hammer is so much worse than the normal burst skill. When/why would you ever want the exact same skill just with a 1 second immobilize over a 2 second stun? The answer is never.

Scorched Earth:
Then there’s the longbow primal burst which too me also just seems like a worse version of the normal burst skill. When/why would you want to fire a straight line in PvP when the original skill perfectly covered a capture point. The original burst skill even has 3 times longer duration which is what makes it awesome: You put it down and it covers the area for a long time making you able to do other stuff – unlike the primal burst where you have to keep on using it and lessens the combos if you want to weapon swap (which you do).
Suggestion/Fix: I am not sure about this one… To me the whole skill seems wrong and boring and a redesign would really suit it (like you did with greatsword burst). When I think “Berserker” I think of something dangerous and fast, which I don’t see currently. Maybe make it something that has a fast effect instead of slow pulse? Maybe a damage or burning burst?

Celestial form skill one – Cosmic Ray – needs to be fixed.
I can only see it working in PvE where your allies are standing still stacked in a corner. As soon as the allies starts moving around in PvP/WvW it’s IMPOSSIBLE to hit the with the AoE.
Not only is the radius way too small (maybe 240 instead?) it also has a cast time instead of an after cast so your allies needs to move in straight predictable lines for you to even have a chance to hit the right spot with Cosmic Ray – and even then the radius still limits it.

Suggestion/Fix: Make Cosmic Ray 240 radius or more (instead of 120) with an after cast instead of cast time.

I agree completly with Zietlogik in a PvP and WvW perspective.

Sacrificing Strength: Strength currently adds enough utility and damage to power specs that the Elite spec cannot in any way shape or form overtake it in terms of usage. Damage on dodge, several damage% modifiers, endurance recovery and physical boosts. Berserker’s Power ’nuff said.

Sacrificing Defense: This is the main form of condition cleanse and management with a power spec, Cleansing Ire and Dogged March (unless running shield) are vital to this playstyle, especially with the additional adrenaline gain with CI. If you are running shield then the extra defense is crazy good, reflects, stuns and might on demand. This is the second spec I can see being replaced by Berserker, but gives up so much defense (i know…) + Defy Pain ’nuff said.

Sacrificing Discipline: This is the primary spec I can see being replaced by Berserker, but what do you lose? Quite a bit of quick burst potential, the combination of Berserker + Versatile Rage + Burst Mastery means you can get 4-5 Primal Bursts off within a decent time frame with added damage. So replacing this means you have to play a playstyle that sits on one weapon set for a while, without Fast Hands, Versatile Rage and HF/Burst Mastery it drops that potential greatly.

So what would you give up to have what Berserker can give you? I say nothing really…

You are unable to remove any of the traitlines in a power based build because you either have to remove your damage, defense or utility to get none of those.
Fast hands in Discipline is such an important trait that Discpline is picked in every single warrior build out there – without you lose so much.
You NEED NEED NEED to make Fast Hands a warrior baseline. Open up for warriors to pick other trait lines and not be locked in the same 3.

Currently I have no reason at all to pick berserker traitline over the others. If Discipline (because of Fast Hands) wasn’t such a vital part of the warrior, berserker could be picked instead of discipline but currently? That’s not going to happen unless they want to be camping greatsword the whole game = not fun nor viable.

LET POWER SPECS BE ABLE TO PLAY BERSERKER IN PVP/WVW TOO!

King of Fires BUG:
The King of Fires trait is supposed to increase burning duration by 20% but there is no increase to be found on Fan of Fire on Bow or the auto attack when traited with Burning Arrows.

Where do I begin…?

I went into this class with a mind to be a 100% healer for WvW. So far it seems possible but there’s so many things that makes it weird and complicated:

I feel like every skill does almost the same thing: “This skill heals” “This skill also heals” “This skill heals after a second”.

So every skills are almost the same but when I am in Celestial Form I end up never using Seed of Life because it has the same heal as Cosmic Ray but a second later – It’s hard to land because you have to time a skill with a small radius that is not important enough for people to want to move to. “Might as well just spam 1 instead”.

Lunar Impact GREAT SKILL. Healing aspect is perfectly designed. Good Radius. Good Visual indicator. Good healing – this is the only skill that I don’t feel "Might as well just spam 1 instead.

Then you Rejuvenating Tides that is “okay”, I don’t understand why it needs to be a channel skill and not just an effect. You are being forced to use a skill where you have to be AT THE TARGET, when you instead again could go “Might as well just spam 1 instead” – Either the healing needs to be better than just spamming 1 or/and it shouldn’t even be a channel in the first place.

Then last but not least: The 1 spam heal – Cosmic Ray. Oh boy do I want to like this skill but oh my god is it clunky to use. The radius is so incredibly tiny that the people you are healing either need to be standing still or needs to be bots running in straight lines. Why is the radius so small?! This skill would be perfect if it just had a normal AoE radius – Double the radius to 240 instead of 120 so it’s actually possible to land on moving players.

Then there is the Staff – oh boy…
The auto attack is the weirdest attack I have ever used in any game I have ever played. I mean what is this? It’s wrong in all the ways possible.
Everyone seems to complain about it having no damage – but that’s fair; it’s a support weapon it shouldn’t have amazing damage on auto attack.
The problem I had with it was the fact that it wasn’t usable for healing only for spamming it to get away from that horrible weapon and back into Celestial Form to spam 1 once again.
The whole targeting to use the skill had me press my tab key so many times that my key will break if I keep playing this class. Why is this skill not like Staff 1 on guardian – seems so logical to me, why do I have to target enemies to heal my allies. Even just making it a straight laser when untargeted would make this skill 100% more usable. You need to fix the weirdness of this skill. Make it more versatile. What do I do when there is no targets around, do I really need to wait for them (to get out of stealth etc.) before I can do anything..?

Ancestral Grace is a really cool skill but it needs some sort of evade when using it – when I looked at it, it looked kind of a short duration teleport mist form. Getting stuck on CC (lines and static fields) and taking all kinds of AoE damage while using this skill seems weird and wrong.

Vine surge is perfect – could be a little wider but it doesn’t really have to.

Sublime Conversion is cool but the visual needs to be better and more clear. It’s very transparent especially when there’s other skills around it. Wall of Reflection is the perfect example of a good visual.

TLDR: The healing numbers are okay (when you spec fully into it) but the skills are too awkward and clunky to land/use for it to work and the whole healer aspect tends to be a massive 1 spam fest in both Celestial Form and Staff – with both 1 skills being hard to use/land because of weird design choices.

I also made some calculations for a full healing focused build. 2000 Healing Power seems to be about the highest you are able to stack in PvE/WvW and you can get +40% outgoing healing from Traits, Runes and Food:

Hello friends! I have calculated the Healing Coefficients (how well Healing Power scales) on all of the heals from Staff and in Celestial Form. I did it in PvP looking at every heal with and without 1200 Healing Power to then later calculate the coefficients:

Staff
Solar Beam (#1): 0.02
Astral Wisp (#2): 0.05
Ancestral Grace (#3): 1.0
Sublime Conversion (#5): 0.025

Celestial Form
Cosmic Ray (#1): 0.2
Seed of Life (#2): 0.5
Lunar Impact (#3): 0.5
Rejuvenating Tides (#5): 0.15

In case you dont know, Obsidian Sanctum is still around.

Yea and this is all fun and games until you join OS to find it already filled up with other guilds and you have to take turns fighting resulting in extreme waiting times.

OS is not and has never been a permanent solution for the GvGers and was only made as a quick work around to “satisfy” the GvG guilds who was being verbal about the obvious problems and lack of interest and support from ArenaNet (where at that point the community GvG events (with no rewards what so ever other than the kick) streams had more viewers than all of the official PvP streams).

“GvG guilds” don’t go to EotM to have the best spot for GvG. They HAVE to go there as it’s the only possible way to fight other guilds not in their match up (which has only gotten worse since changes to server population).

We don’t want to have GvGs in Edge of the Mist it sucks.
We don’t want to have GvGs at south of the borderlands it sucks.
When you see people having GvGs in those spots it’s because it’s only possible way for them to do so when/if the other guild is not in their match up (and might not be in a long time) and OS is already being used by two other guilds.

The small area in the upcoming guild halls “might” fix this but only if they actually listen to those who use it and currently (the information they have provided) the area is way too small to have a GvG inside.
