Guild Wars 2

this is embarrassing but I’ve had this game for about a year now but only recently started playing it and I don’t know how to go about finding people who may want to do things together in game, should I just join a guild or something? i’m new to MMORPGs so kinda shy and the few people I have talked to were really REALLY into the game and were kinda… I don’t know, not very friendly because I didn’t know much.

Thank you for the comments! Unfortunately I still can’t find them, I cleared out my mailbox which had 7 letters that were old , still nothing – I will send a ticket to support – and I’ve looked over every item in my inventory, it isn’t there-

I just exchanged some of my gold for the blue gems to buy the glasses , which I did and my blue gems dropped after spending what I needed but now I cant find how to equip them. says that I just need to double click to consume and they will go to my wardrobe? ive only ever bought the little cat that follows you around, I forget what those are called.
anyway, should the glasses be in my inventory? because they aren’t and in my “recent purchases” tab the glasses don’t appear, i’m just not sure why my gems dropped down if I don’t have it even though I did clearly buy it. its probably an obvious solution but i’m still new to this game so any help is appreciated, thanks !
