This is working as intended even though it is very counterintuitive. It isn’t a bug. The way the matchmaking system currently works is that it’ll calculate the new rating for everybody to update the leaderboard. It’ll then make a temporary copy of the leaderboard and give everybody a random deviation between -100 to +100. It’ll sort this temporary leaderboard and then split everybody off into groups of 3 for their matches. Arenanet added this so you’d get some variation in the matches instead of the same matches nearly every week.

Augury Rock’s rating is 1691.558 which means you could be facing any server if you’re unlucky with the random deviation. If you had a +100 adjustment and Gandara + Far Shiverpeaks had a -100 each then you could end up with a match between #1, #2 and #11.

Arenanet need to overhaul the WvW matchmaking algorithm to suit the current state of WvW where the servers are bunched up fairly closely in terms of rating.

Are the WvW bonus world chests no longer awarded? WvW has already reset so I should have been awarded 3 of them due to winning the previous match. However, I don’t have any queued up in the WvW rank window and I didn’t get any additional popup chests when ranking up.

Is anybody else missing the bonus chests?

Is this an intentional change for the new WvW system?

Enemy owned cannons/oil/mortars in WvW

The oil/cannons that appear for a tier 1 upgraded tower/keep in WvW are bugged as they’re enemy owned. The guards immediately start attacking them. The respawned build site is also enemy owned. This means no oil/cannons and probably no mortars along with the fact it is always contested.

New Scoring System

How is 5, 4, 3 any different from 3, 2, 1? In the end, the server in third place will be 2 points behind the server in first place, and 1 point behind the server in 2nd place for every skirmish in those positions. After 10 skirmishes with the same results, the third place server will still be 20 points behind the first place server.

How is this any better than 2, 1, 1?

The ratios between each world score will be different with the new 5,4,3 system which affects the Glicko-2 calculations for ranking at the end of each matchup. It looks to be an attempt to stop the large swings in ranking we’re getting now.

Looks like this was quietly fixed yesterday. The world IDs show the new links and you can query for all the server matches.

The server links were changed on Friday but the WvW API still shows the old server links. e.g. Aurora Glade is world 2013 and the match data is https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/wvw/matches?world=2013

Red = 2205 (Drakkar Lake [DE])

You need 10K+ influence for the trader to show up. The minimum he trades is 10K so if you’ve got anything less than that then you can’t do anything.

In 2 matchups in the last 3 months we had dolyaks not spawning from the camp north of hills to hills itself. Both times i made a bug report. Both times it went unfixed the entire week.

We’ve had that lots of times as well. The only thing that fixes it is a restart for a patch. Flipping the camp away + back doesn’t do anything.

We’re still having issues with the maximum supply cap as mentioned by garganor.9824 above. Anything previously owned before the patch had the cap reset to the lowest value e.g. keeps can only hold 500 even if they’re tier 3 with WP. It appears anything you cap + upgrade after the patch however appears to work and does increase the cap but I’ve not properly tested it to confirm.

Can’t place siege anywhere. Gives “You cannot place siege weaponry here!”. Tried inside keep and out on open field. Basically it’s a shorter list of features that work. Walking, skills etc work. Everything related to WvW mechanics are broken.

I’ve had that happen to me before this patch. I had to log out to fix it.

Placing siege is okay at the moment for me though.

NPC workers getting stuck is an issue I’ll take note of for later, but probably isn’t related to the immediate issues with WvW cross-server data we’re investigating now. We’ll have to take care of the World (vs. World) being on fire first.

The NPC workers taking unscheduled timeoff isn’t a new bug. We’ve had it on and off for months now. They’ll just be standing around not moving even though there is a valid upgrade running with sufficient supply. Going over to them and spamming the interact key usually gets them moving again.

Speaking of old bugs, somebody really should look at the WvW upgrade progress bars. They bug out frequently and show an upgrade running or nearly complete when nothing is actually running.

The AG + AM + DL match also has had a score rollback due to the EB map issue. All of the points from the EB map have been wiped off the score for each of the 3 servers.

Erm. Yeah. It looks like there are more issues with WvW than just the API. On the Aurora Glade + Abaddon’s Mouth + Drakkar Lake matchup, everybody in EB is the same side. There is a 180+ player blob roaming around at the moment because everything is friendly.

SM castle is going nuts as it is simultaneously tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 with the walls trying to display all 3 textures at the same time.

None of the keep portals or the spawn WPs work. You can walk straight into somebody elses spawn as well since everything is friendly.

Yeah. All of the matches EU and NA have missing data for match_details. It appears to have stopped working when the patch was applied server side.
