Actually as I think more about it, Im reasonably sure, you had to enter your key. I have bought accounts for friends and had to give them the key so they could register an account.

I did a full search of my e-mail and saw nothing pertaining to a serial key…

Got the digital pre-order from Guild Wars 2.com

There is something very strange here, the first and only e-mail I received from Guild Wars 2 was the Shadow of the Mad King event e-mail. My account got compromised and they have it locked down, how can I even prove that I own it without the serial code? I wish I realized that I never received one earlier. Can I prove ownership by providing credit card information? I am 100% sure my e-mail is not compromised, I would think my paypal and other information would have been stolen if it were, not just my GW2 account. Something is going very bad at ncsoft security…

I told them that they were still logged in and they misunderstood it as someone logged in after I changed my password, so they locked me out and told me my e-mail address is compromised. Do not have a serial code because I never received one when I digitally pre-ordered the game. Hoping they will unlock it provided with my credit card infomation I used to buy the game… looks like a lot of people did not receive a serial code with their digital purchase.

I hadn’t played in about a month and I tried to get on last night to discover my password had been changed. I never got an e-mail about unauthorized attempt. I never got an e-mail with my serial code. I had to get my password changed (luckily with the last 4 digits of my credit card number), log in to the website here, and see that someone was logged into my account in Missouri, USA. I think it’s a Chinese person through a proxy though because they transfered to European server. I hope my stuff is still there, I changed the password while they were presumably botting (on 10-12 hours on a level 38 Charr Mesmer) and hoping all my stuffs not gone. No biggy though my highest level was a 40 something Engineer, I mainly got the game for the PvP. Oh well i hope you work something out man. This really bites and I don’t know how they got my information because I run a very secure system. I’ve never had anything else hacked, not even my Diablo 3 account during that mass-hacking fiasco…

I never received an e-mail for mine either and my account has been hacked. I hope I can get it unlocked, this is bull. I pre-ordered the game and never got an e-mail for it. The only e-mail I have from Guild Wars 2 is for the halloween event. Very strange…

I had received an e-mail about a month ago about someone trying to access my account from China. I changed my password and everything, but then last night I tried to log on for the first time in about a month because I’ve been too busy to game, and realized my account had been compromised. I changed the password (even though I didn’t have my product key because it was never e-mailed to me with my pre-order) through customer service with my credit card info, and I have the account. But the person has been logged in since 1 hour before they changed my password and is still on. I can’t disconnect them with the account management page so should I assume when they get off they won’t have my new password? I’m 99% positive my e-mail didn’t get hacked because my information is secure, no idea how my account was even accessed in China in the first place…

Also when I get it back I have a new Charr Mesmer character, thanks hacker
