So, today I am mysteriously able to craft again. I tried signing out to character select, but I guess I needed to log out completely.
I just reached 500 in armor smithing and learned my first ascended recipe. when I went back to my workbench, no recipes of any sort were visible. I tried looking at other benches around Lion’s Arch and they’re all showing up blank.
