Try relaunching your client a few times, that fixed it for me.
I had this same thing yesterday, I just logged on today and I’ve found that the Trading Post isn’t working at all anymore. I’d do what you need to do now before it stops again
Try relaunching the game a few times, that usually gets the TP and gem store going for me. Works for now while anet works on a more real fix.
Lets start with saying I’m male. Also, I enjoy looking at females characters more than male, but that is not why I chose a female character.
For me, choosing a male is simply boring. There are too many male protagonists in basically all types of video games that choosing a male in GW2 is too boring for me. It doesn’t help when there is no personality to our characters since its an MMO. The only way for me to want to pick a male would be is somehow they were unique or interesting in some way. An example would be Mass Effect. FemShep looked much better than BroShep, but I found BroShep more interesting (granted, there wasn’t too much difference between them), and therefore played as him instead.
So picking a female changes it up a bit, instead of the generic male hero beating up the baddies. Sure now its the generic female RPG character, but it still FEELS different enough. Maybe its because I play a lot of single player games that I feel this way.
They should be here to stay. Only the halloween themed stuff is going to poof.
Where do get the Halloween Events? Is it only from random chance from doors….because i’ve opened like 100000 doors and nothing.
It true that it sucks for asura, best you can do for now is either hope everyone leaves, or keep talking to the charr and asking to join the clock tower, it should spawn you into another instance with hopefully less large characters.
Act 2 just started about 2.5hours ago, so expect some time before there are proper guides. I also think you can do any of the act stuff up until halloween event is over so it should be fine?
I think I can safely say that I detest this kitten puzzle with intense passion..
After 4 dozen attempts, I couldn’t even get past the part where the parts fall out the wall.. Being a Norn toon, I REPEATEDLY kept hitting geometry that wasn’t there, or sliding off blocks that were there (and I had landed on, but the game thought to pitch me off).
On more than one occasion, the camera became completely dissjointed from my character (no longer behind my toon) causing me to fail heavily yet again.
I’ve lucky I still have a working PC, because I was literally “Why!!”, and “WTF!” and “NO!!”, every single attempt…
This is (for me) an exercise in pure refined frustration..
You could always make a new human char just for this jumping puzzle, since the achievement is account based anyways. Just make sure you select the same armour class profession so you get the right piece when you complete it.
Unless that exotic is soul bound….then don’t do it.
No it’s not.
This is the best spoiler ever.
kitten br /> From what I understand, the 12pm PST event is some sort of opening event, which does not contribute to any achievements or anything. The actual duration of Act 3 should extend past that till Act 4.
Should be in roughly 30-40 minutes according to Anthony’s post.
Ah, my bad, I guess. I was going off of what Anthony O. said, which would have made it 3pm my time. I hadn’t read any of the other dev notes.
Is what Anthony said not correct? Act 2 starts at noon PST or some other time?
There is an achievement called “attended the party” or something. I assume its for that event. The hat is available in the trading post for free since day 1 of the event.
Not sure which thread, but Anet Game designer said there are no achievements tied to the one time opening event, so we shouldn’t have to worry about that at least.
Now I personally would also rather have it just in the gem store instead of the keys, but maybe Anet is actually making tons more money selling keys, you never know…
Cmd + Option + D will enable/disable the autohide feature of the dock. Since the dock is basically stuck at “always on top”, this is probably your best solution. Just hide dock when playing, and if you want it back during other stuff unhide it.
You’ll probably be using hotkeys more than clicking the skill bar anyways so having the dock pop up suddenly shouldn’t be a big issue.
Go to System Preferences → Language and Text → Input Sources and turn on the Keyboard and Character viewer. Then in the top right corner next to the time, click the keyboard/character viewer and select Show Keyboard Viewer. This should give you a virtual keyboard based on whatever layout you’re currently using and you should be able to find the @ key.
Thank you, the client runs smoother than on bootcamp

Velkis, it probably just needs to reload all the models, which happens on a map change.
Did you make sure to set your chat to [Guild]? I’m talking about the little thing in the corner that normally says [Say] for chatting to nearby players.
