So I don’t consider myself to be a top pvp player of this game by any means. So I understand, by the way this league’s matchmaking is set up, to lose more often than great players. The problem I’m encountering is that I’m going on long huge lose streaks in the league and about 50 to 70 percent of my games I am the highest scoring player on my team. When I am the top scorer on my team I usually am also ahead of 3 or 4 of the scores on the winning team. I feel, based on personal, various 1v1 and 1v2 situations in these matches that I am just as good, if not better, than most of the players I play against. Despite this, I can’t seem to have a team that can actually win. Many times in the last few days I’d hold off 2 or 3 enemies, keeping a point for a longer time than it takes for my team of 4 to get obliterated by 2 guys on a different point. With this information, and I know it might sound like just complaining, but I’m wondering if, since I happened to lose a couple matches at the beginning of the season, that no matter how well I perform personally, I’m going to have to wait till enough players of my skill or better get further up in the league? Also, if this system doesn’t go off of personal performance, does that give a decent, slightly above average, player a real chance at being able to advance? It seems to me that if a player on the losing team scores better than most of the winning team, who have an easier time of getting a better score, then it should prove that maybe that player needs to be put with a better team, or at least a team that is really the same skill level. What are your thoughts? Does personal performance matter, or is it based mostly on that you lost? And if personal performance doesn’t matter, is that how competitive gaming should be?
