Thanks for the posts so far but we’re mostly looking for people that are interested only in sPvP.
I play with around 6 other people and we focus exclusively on sPvP. Not everyone is on every night though so we’re often stuck with 3-4 people and have to find a random person to sub in for tournament groups. We’re looking for either a decently sized sPvP guild that we can pull good players from or possibly another small group of skilled players that are interested in doing sPvP and want to merge. We don’t consider ourselves “high skilled” but we’ve only lost 1 or 2 tournament matches out of 60+ and we’re constantly trying to improve.
If you’re interested in talking send me a message (in-game or on this forum) or contact me thru AIM (tomed2k)
I’ve found that using the map chat in the Heart of the Mists is pretty useful for finding people when you’re down a player. Much better than random queueing and getting someone that isn’t on voice chat. So are there any servers that are focused on sPvP so we have better chances of finding skilled players in map chat?
Is this going to be a commercial or something?
In your opinion, what is the best build editor out there? I’m mostly using http://gw2skills.net/editor/en/ because they allow you to select pretty much everything. However the site is slow and many of the talents are out of date. I really liked http://en.gw2codex.com/ because it let you make a profile and save builds but they seemed to stop updating the site altogether.
Are there any good alternatives?
-Salvage underpriced level 70 Rare/Exotics for Ectos
-Salvage underpriced armors/weapons with Runes/Sigils that will sell for more than the item
-Place buy orders for mats lower than the going rate then resell.
Profit margins are pretty low in all markets that I’ve found but you can make decent gold if you just sit there and refresh a lot. However due to how the GW2 item system works and how the Trading Post guides the seller you probably won’t find any ludicrous deals like in Diablo 3.
The only factor that changed for me from BWE3 and Retail was my router. Went from some random Linksys to a D-Link DIR-601 and was getting constant black screens while playing until I finally tried switching out the router to a Netgear N600. Black screens instantly went away. Tried another router, a Cisco M10, and this one works fine as well. I posted this on Reddit and someone else PMed me saying they also fixed their black screen issue by switching out their routers.
GW2 degrades very ungracefully when network issues occur. Not sure if it’s packet loss and I honestly don’t care enough to figure out. Simple fact is, if you’re getting black screens while in the middle of playing try connecting directly to your modem. If that fixes it, get a different router.
