Since launch I’ve been using shift as a keybind modifier. Yesterday I got a new mouse and changed around my keybinds, everything was working fine until about an hour ago when the shift key stopped working correctly as a bind modifier.
I thought maybe my keyboard was dirty or something at first, but I get the same issue with left and right shift keys (and for kicks I cleaned my keyboard anyway because it needed it).
Next I thought perhaps the keyboard itself was having firmware issues so I started booting up other games and had no such issues. Shift worked perfectly fine in other games as a keybind modifier.
I also, of course, restarted my computer to see if that would solve it.
Still no go. In fact I can’t even assign a keybind as Shift + <whatever> anyway. I can hold down shift and it will show “Shift,” but as soon as I press another key it will overwrite Shift. So if I were trying to keybind Shift + 1, I would see “Shift” then as soon as I press 1, Shift would go away and the keybind entry would just be “1.”
I would like to use shift as a modifier again. :(
EDIT: Found the problem. Num Lock doesn’t play nice with shift and num pad keys.
