I think it’s pretty funny how some ppl actually are denying the rest of the world any sense of humor just because of the fact, that they don’t like this so called joke. No I don’t like it. Yes I see some like it and can laugh about this, that’s cool, suit yourself. But that does not mean you know anything about me or about me having a sad existence without any humor and laughing.
And just because some ppl call themselves a majority does not mean they are actually one or IF you are: Please, please show me some statistics/ evidence.
I came online and the first minutes the chat was confused “Is it a bug?” “Is it intended” than everyone remembered it is 1st April… Some thought it was funny, but I read more postes in chat how boring or annoying this was after a few minutes. So does that really mean, all these guys have no humor? if you think so, maybe YOU should re-think…

Who hears one joke and laughs at it for a whole day? It’s a reason why comedians with one joke aren’t really comedians, more like clkitten. Once they don’t laugh anymore they keep harassing you with the same joke because it made you laugh once…

April fool’s is for pranks or jokes, have you ever done any of the two that has made people laugh an entire day? Maybe a baby, hitting yourself in the head with a spoon, they love that kitten! Me? I laughed at this, explored it… And 15 minutes later I did not like this too much. Hence I’d like the option to turn this off. I’ll admit it, I have a sad existance and I spend the majority of my time on this game. Playing airplane I can do in the yard, maybe some sunglasses to get some of the same visual effect. Anet is not doing anything today but… For future stuff it might actually be an option. We can only hope.
I love how people are like “Hey, guys! This is funny! Stop whining about this, the game is still working pretty darn well!” Then why are you here? I came to the Forums because something was wrong and all you who call us for haters? If everything is fine, why are you not in the game enjoying your good sense of humor? Or do you loom over the forums, ready to swoop down and troll those who actually care about their gaming experience?
So a new joke… Yet it’s not really a joke, atleast it’s not intended as a joke. It makes the game more goofy yes but to the all time player of which PVP and PVE… Does it effect them? Nope! They can still do their thing albeit maybe abit hindered.
Now I speak on the behalf of the very few on this game, the little group of which is simply silent in the corner and gets what they can simply scramble for: The Gw2 RPers.
Time after time we’re not just neglected but we’re also ‘harmed’ in the sense we can not play the game as we so desire to. First of there is no server that is specific for “RP”, such as many other games have, this might be to the reason in WvW that server would have trouble which is understandable, yet the community has deemed two servers if you wish to RP to be suitable for this. EU has Piken Square and US has Tarnished Coast.
Last years bobble heads was bad enough, sure it was funny! But it was funny for five minutes and this lasted for how long? A week? The same goes for this years “Airplane fight”, funny! Then you run around abit, listen to the ‘sound effects’ you hear as you run and jump… Then comes the “Can I turn this off now?” And this is not just me and the small group of friends I’ve already spoken to and claimed “This is stupid now…”
I just deleted WoW last night and to be frank? I am near re-downloading it just for a week untill this passes because my screen on Gw2 atm is just not nice to look at. Which is really really bad, concidering how GW2 has simply grown, silly things like this? WoW tried it, and I know alot of people returning to GW2 after the “Selfie cam” of which had a filter like my screen has now! xD Not trying to draw a line between these two but… Most RPG players can find enjoyment in a joke, just allow us to turn this joke off and join the laugh with the rest of you pranksters!
GuildWars2 as a game is a game I made alot of people migrate to, I have spent my time on other MMORPG’s and I found a home in GW2 and so did alot of my friends, yet most of them abandoned ship with the Megaservers and I can understand that.
Piken Square and RP? Is almost all gone now sadly and those remaining is debating to go onto Tarnished Coast, yes this might be a resolve to continue playing this game but it will cost us 1800 gems to do so, which I honestly have to say, sucks.
I do hope Anet will listen to the most loyal of players and if not, change their game. It’s after all a MMO-RPG-.
It has come to my attention that alot of my fellow players of Piken Square left the game after the Megaservers were introduced. Now, with Piken being the unofficial European RP server it had quite the player base of which now… Has simply vanished. This is a sad thing as I myself enjoy RP aswell as the actual game, yet I am a RPer (Roleplayer) of which tends to play a game solely because of this option, and to be honest the GW2 game was ideal for this, at least for me and my friends.
Yet now I find myself thinking if I too should stay or go. I have invested alot of money into gems, being an RPer I want all the skins like most of RPers want, meaning Anet actually loses quite alot of money on simply not having RPers around. Now, the main issue is that people still love the game, yet the Megaserver kinda issues to ruin alot of the game for alot of people. Roleplayers are the most loyal of players and I myself try to endure to manage to bring people back to this game.
So why can’t Anet help me with this? Maybe make an exclusive server for Roleplayers only? Away from zergs and people who are bored and would rather annoy people doing what they enjoy than simply enjoy the game itself (That said very few does this as GW2 is known for it’s friendly faces of which I love about this game).
I am losing interest in a game of which alot of people has already left behind them, a game I hold dear and would rather not leave.
