Guild Wars 2

Awesome guide. It was super helpful for me as a new player. It’s shed some light, for me personally, on the Guild Wars 2 battle system and it’s all starting to make sense to me. Completely different from what I’m used to in other MMOs!

Hey Everyone -

First off, by “new” I mean.. I played for a week or so when the game was released but got conned into sticking with WoW instead of playing GW2, so I left. I never got a char over level 10 (I’m fairly casual).. so I consider that me being a new player.
Anyways, I decided to start over on Tarnished Coast. I’m currently playing an Engineer (level 16ish) and a Thief (level 9ish). I’m not sure which, if any, of these I’m going to stick with. I’m really digging the Engineer but I see dual dagger (I assume daggers) Elementalists running around and they also look like a crap ton of fun. As do a bunch of the other classes.

So with all that said, I’m having a lot of fun right now but I can’t help but feel like I probably need friends here in GW2. I’m sure I’d get bored, quickly, if I just played to 80 all by my lonesome. I also think I’d be well served to have someone show me the ropes of how to actually play (I’m pretty bad, I’d imagine), what to do in dungeons, etc..

Anyone looking for another “friend”? :P

My char names are Kayla Toys and Jaiden Toys. I’m on the Tarnished Coast server but I am totally not adversed to switching should I find a home I enjoy more. And, actually, I’ve been guesting on Yak’s Bend the past couple days which I may be enjoying a lot more than Tarnished Coast (people just seem nicer and more outgoing).
