Here’s a graph showing TS3 bandwidth use throughout the month of July. You can see that after just two days of Golem Week, that bandwidth use dropped to about half of baseline level.

I don’t know what ANet’s goal was, but a lot of wvw players stopped playing as the week wore on, and most guilds stopped raiding entirely. I wonder what the long-term impact of this will be.

There’s a lot of talk in DB’s guilds about trying not to get to gold but stay top tier silver. We would get crushed for 8 weeks in gold league while if we were top silver league we would prosper to the point where we have a stable WvW community after the league. Whether that means we’ll throw a match remains to be seen.

There was something like this in Lineage 2, which worked really well. You’d fight for pve towns and then be able to impose a tax on the town, which is then deposited once a week.

Honestly, that game had some of the best world pvp I’ve ever seen.

And you broke it even worse with the latest patch. Seriously?

The skill lag in wvw is absolutely insane lately and wholly unacceptable. The game doesn’t even work. The portals are white. No one can do anything. This is 100% a server issue.

It was fine until the mid February patch.

It’s an amalgam of CERN and other misc. EU forces. They used to fly MM, then EU, and now Kazo. It’s just an attempt to organize our surprisingly large EU population.

Looks like SBI is gonna die. Dem bandwagon servers just can’t take pressure from natural servers. And then SoR is intentionally tanking, so either SoS or TC is going to head into T1. It’s looking like TC at the moment. We’ll probably flip-flop with SoR unless we get some more coverage. It’ll be interesting to see how things go.

Just a note, Sunday and Tuesdays are our off days, so we don’t run as heavy on them. Our raids also officially end at 8 PM server and we’re usually under 25 STUN by about 7 server. A lot of our members are East Coasters with careers or children, so they only raid for an hour or two before heading off. By 8 server, we’re running under 20, but it’s our core members who are still around, so we remain a formidable force.

When we zone into a borderland, we can have initial numbers as high as 37, but that falls off really, really fast. During most raids, we average around 25-30. We’ll sometimes pop tag to rally people if we want to break a waypoint or defend against a megablob or something, in which case numbers on tag can be as high as 40, but less than 60% are usually STUN.

Well I had to log in way late to reset and leave after about 4 hours, but thank you SoS and FA. I know that early on that 2v1 was brutal from what I heard but man, I take over while its still going and you guys get farmed.. then you all logged off or hopped maps after like 3 consecutive losses. What is up with that….. I was hoping for good fights but all I got was KITTENRY!

I started leading eb around 9pm when we were getting 2v1ed by FA on durious and you guys on QL and you lost everything but your eb keep & aldons by 10:30pm all because your guys couldn’t get inside towers and man siege before we get to door. TC are excellent siege manners! best I have siege. I wish we had militia that manned siege as good as TC. But then I had to leave (wife aggro). I really wasn’t looking forward to the 70 man blob aoeing choke on TC keep and wping in again and again. Still it was funny and I find it hilarious that people complain about 2v1. kitten happens SoS gets targeted all the time cuz we have the weakest coverage of 3 servers but meh. playing for ppt is so 2012…

@ TC on SOS border on reset. Stop hugging hills/set with 2-3 trebs and 5-6 acs. There was a ac along the wall on hills every spot and 3-4 scouts in hills at all times. TC wins because you play ppt and have trained your militia that it’s fun to sit on stuff and press 1,2,3. TC also wins cuz FA will go for ez ppt on SOS instead of pushing TC border at all times but eh. Once I realized that sos wasn’t going to get fights on sos border I moved the 30-40 we had to EB and started running around…

It was around 10:30pm server or so when I took over and what you describe wasn’t the case we wiped SOS a few times near Golanta, Jerrifer’s, and LLK. Only FA re-took our outer towers but once y’all left for the last time we took the outer’s back and FA then lost their t3 Anzalias and t3 Mendons, I think you guys pushed ogre/pang after they went durios or maybe it happened in the reverse. As far as sieging we just played for fights til 2am server. We had some people tap smc, do upgrades, and hold our camps but we went on the hunt for 4 hours so I’m not sure about your tower-siege story. And yeah I don’t remember fighting you except maybe once I believe the SOS commander was Reese from EP.

That was more the fault of SoS than TC. Chuu wasn’t even commanding at the time. Whoever was commanding the SoS force just kinda holed up in Jerrifers and tried to double team LLK (unsuccessfully) for 3+ hours, during which time FA was able to upgrade SMC due to lack of pressure from either side.

We were going to let EB be the sideshow but FA was scared to fight TC on SoSbl and TC had a arrow cart for 2/3 of all there people on the map.

Your touching tribute to YB not withstanding, we decided that if you were going to sit on AC’s all night, that you should at least do it as part of an epic defense.

Hence the 2v1 on Lowlands and flipping your upgraded towers.

What happened to TC tonight, anyways? It’s like the last 8 weeks didn’t happen and you forgot how to fight without being surgically grafted onto siege? The bags runneth over.

I wasn’t on at the beginning, but I think we were running a bit disorganized. By the time we consolidated properly, we were already pushed pretty hard. Although the AC bit is ironic, considering SoS and FA built ACs everywhere, including the three like right in front of Klovan and on the Jerrifer bridge.

For most of the keep fights, we didn’t have any acs or maybe only had one. We didn’t even have enough supply to build a treb for like 90 minutes because whenever we’d leave the keep to fight one group and take a camp, the other would try to rush in to cap, so we really didn’t have the option of leaving. And if we tried to send a havoc group to grab supply, they’d just get blobbed down.

Side note: I dunno what’s up with TC in general. We actually didn’t have queues in 2/4 maps this reset.

I’d never 2v1, personally, and dislike it when we do too, but that was a particularly pathetic showing. Edit: Mostly because you died nonstop for almost 2 hours and didn’t get the keep. We probably got moar points from stomps than you did from the towers.

Overall this was a good match-up. It is nice to face the T2’s again. The score is close as it should be for everyone on the 3 servers to enjoy a fairly equal and competitive match.

I hope Anet doesn’t do leagues again cause it sucks kitten . Either you stomp or get stomped, no fun at all.

I’m looking forward to facing SoR soon. If TC can beat them and TC only beat us by 15k, then it should be a pretty good test for us and it should be a close match. I think FA, TC & SoR would be incredibly close, that is if there’s no 2vs1, which I can’t see happening.

Unfortunately, it’s a super unlikely match up with the new variance. We can’t even face SoR. It’s impossible. You guys have like a 1% chance of facing them.

I’d also wager a guess that FA has (slightly) more coverage than TC now. It’s not our fault that you guys have morale problems and your numbers disappear after getting stomped into the ground over and over. You can blame it on beating up T3 servers for 7 weeks, but that’s also your fault.

Yesterday we were 18 in [CL]. The fights that we joined [HOPE] not were unintentional, but between the 2 groups do not believe that we overcome the 40 and even on the map there was no line.

As for that video, we were running almost entirely uplevels, although we swapped out after most of us died (I was the TC warrior harassing you throughout the whole ordeal. Never run uplevels, personally), killed CNB (they had already wiped your group by that point), and then proceeded get a few fights before leaving because we were tired of the dual guild blobs on both sides. I think we were trying to karma train or something, but I dunno. Not my jam, so I didn’t stick around long. Been taking a break and whatnot.

THAT SAID, my previous post wasn’t a knock on CL. You guys seem cool, but I was just making a point that FA does blob.

And why bring up a post I made months ago, Furious? TC was considerably stronger then, and FA was much weaker. We’re much more closely matched now, with FA probably having more coverage (but maybe not! We were missing a lot of commanders this week. Myself included). I’m interested in seeing what the score looks like with Maguuma instead of SoS because it seems like SoS is neutralizing your oceanic PPT.

Take your pick, as usual you will always be welcome back on FA, but will be a bummer because you stated you’re done with pugmanding. When you left we had 5~ guilds transfer over and DPS/SIC coming back. This made our OCX/SEA very strong, and we have a set EURO guild now. However, FA has Delune on it so that might make you avoid it even more.

Nonetheless I wish you luck in choosing a future server and if not FA, then we will cross paths.

Lag yaks. I think it’s server side. It was probably a few hundred to thousand range ahead of you. If it has guards, they don’t lag, and you can usually find it with them. Otherwise, just run along it’s path spamming one with a melee weapon. Once the animations start to chain, you’ll know you’re hitting it.

I think a lot of TC (myself included) are pretty sour toward karma trains, especially because they almost destroyed our server during the random match up tier 1.5 days. It’s all we ever had to do.

I’m sure some people will oblige you, but I’m also willing to bet a rather large minority will want to thwart it.

So i never post about anything in here, but tonights blatant 2v1 while TRYING to take bay was ridiculous. First of all, TC and JQ never even looked at each others towers. Secondly, it is comical to see TC knock down a wall or door just to slide to the other side so JQ can come in and set up trebs. It’s a joke. Then again I did walk away with 194 Heavy Loot Bags and numerous rares…. Good on ya!!

This is only my second post. Ask your friends who were in TCBL all night who helped JQ cap our garrison? This is seriously business as usual for everyone.

SoR falling apart is bad for more than our just our server. The more logical people on BG and JQ have also stated as much. If SoR were struggling due to guild migration, this might be remedied, but we’re suffering attrition. People are reducing their gameplay. No one is going to gobble up our power and rise to T1; things will get destabilized.

You’ve never seen TC when it smells blood. We’ve got a bit of a mean side. How do you think Kaineng and DB got beaten into a bloody pulp and forced back into T3+?

That said, fight harder if you don’t want to lose. Most of us don’t mind facing T1 anymore. It’s made our server much stronger.

What the hell is with JQ in TCBL just now camping SOR stuff and refusing to take any TC camps, keeps or towers? Running a full 80 man map blob as well.

If it’s any consolation, JQ and SoR keep hitting bay on SoRBL, sometimes at the same time or right after another. They haven’t even come close to taking it and we’ve wiped each force at least 20 times. I’m not really sure what’s happening or going through their heads, tbh, but it is kinda funny.

i solo roam and can barely find people willing to fight without odds in their favor. It’s not just jq players who wont fight 1v1.

three [PiNK] thieves were in ruins on jqbl and if i managed to get one to wander off from from the other 2, he/she would cloak and dagger off an animal and run back to his buddies.

Don’t put your servers on some high pedestal because you think you fight unfair odds.

Please dont put your server on that same pedestal this is all I found when Roaming JQ BL during NA Prime time and Ocx times.

Guilds that actually that I’ve seen so far is that [KoS] guy in the second pic and the Guild [Ark] guys I guess I will keep looking for all those other roamer guilds.

Have to agree. I was roaming on Mag on ele and saw the normal few JQ/TC that wouldn’t engage in a 1v1. Finally found a ranger to 1v1 at ruins which turned into a 1v2 and then a 1v3 which was too much for me. Then next I found a fun duel vs a p/d thief and things weren’t looking good for him but it was interrupted by a Mag guardian so he refuged and ran.

Same stories a couple more times so I just went to EB and to k-train/badge train between SM and blue keep. I guess this t1 1vx roaming has to be handed on thief or else in groups of 5-10… zzz

I’ve found that, when facing T1 servers any trickle of 1-2 players is usually a bad sign. Almost no one on these Tier 1 to Tier 1.5 servers run in groups of less than 10, so seeing a few people running around usually means there’s a roaming group or zerg somewhere close by that they’re trying to get back to, or are running ahead of.

This is particularly relevant of players from a few guilds you never see running blobs of less than 40, PiNK and HzH immediately coming to mind.

You do realize that PiNK runs 25-30 on reset (+ pugs if they decide to tag up) and maybe 20-25 during the week, at best, right? The guild used to be able to field 50-60 mans on the reg, but that hasn’t happened in quite a while.

There are plenty of solo roamers from TC sadly we all have kitten specific stealth so your ilk never see us.

No, there are no solo roamers for TC. I have solo roamed for hours 3 different nights, nothing, not one solo roamer. You run in groups of 2 or more. I tried to find some solo people in JP but even that had people running in groups, glad you see you all paid attention to the buddy system in elementary school. SoS even teamed up with TC to form a truce to kill me in JP.

STUN was only running about 10-15 with a couple pugs for most of the night. We might’ve had 20 on right at reset, but I’m not even sure about that bc the queues were all wonky.

So much moaning from sos on these forums. I am a bit confused, they have not turned up this week at all. I see a 30/40 man sos zerg on the map, then walk into their garrison with only 5 defenders.

Seems obvious to me they want silver league and/or their players are so fair weather that at a prospect for a fight they log.

SBI has at least come out to fight at times. Having said that being bored of PVD we stopped doing it and camped dawn’s on SBI last night, even with a wall down they did not attempt to attack it. SO we took a garrison wall down, again we just wanted a fight/reaction, we got that fight versus ac’s and canons.

We went to eb, sos had permanent invisibility on the whole map! At least SBI came to play which was fun.

Anyway I cannot wait for this match up to be over. Everyone is playing some sort of game to go to this league or that and quite frankly it has been the worst match up I have experienced.

That’s just the nature of T1. Your servers are too stacked. No one wants to play against them. All of T1 is going to have constant kitten match ups because the servers are overstacked and #5 & 6 won’t show up at all. Well, Mag might. I dunno. They’re scrappy.

SoS didn’t show up last time it was TC/SoS/SoR, either. I literally didn’t see a single SoS until Friday. Didn’t even see one on reset, although we were on TCBL, I think.

If TC didn’t have a complete dead zone during SEA, I feel like we’d be pretty competitive, not to mention if some of our big guilds stopped using “ppt play is stupid” as an excuse for poor play, but w/e.

Just 1-2 SEA guilds would probably be enough to stay above 150 ppt in that time slot, which would mean a much smaller point difference.

Also big shout out to KH. They’ve been pulling serious weight during OCX lately.

In a BL or EBG? EBG has a much higher cap than the BLs. Fairly certain the BL cap is 80 and the EB cap is 120.

Edit: The problem here is that you dont seem to understand what makes a server a bandwaggon. Slow growth and transfers since launch =/= bandwaggon. Group of guilds organizing a jump to a lower server to stack it = bandwaggon. AKA kaineng, DB, SBI.

I’m pretty sure DB received most of the guilds while they are in T2, and guess what? The highest tier DB has ever made to was T2, so it doesn’t really count as a bandwagon server.

Lol. DB got 20 million transfers and then got into T2. They may have eventually made it in otherwise, but definitely wouldn’t have been able to beat the TC that beat Kaineng back to T4. Tragically, it seems the same happened to DB. Bandwagoners have a hard time dealing wit dat zombie coast pressure.
