I am having the same issue, I submitted a ticket to Anet a few hours ago, they emailed me saying the problem was fixed, however I am still getting the same message, I have emailed the tech support technician back and I really hope they are working on a solution.

Anet sent me an email saying it was an intermittent issue that should be resolved. I tried logging in with the same error. The issue is not yet resolved.

I am having the same issue, tried logging in on 2 computers, and I get the same error. I have reset both my router and modem.

I am unable to load into the game. I am able to get to my character select screen. When I choose my character I start loading into the game, and I get an error saying I cannot connect to the log-in server due to my firewall, router settings, etc. I have reset my router and turned off my firewall with no effect.
