They DO know what they are doing.
They are working professionals and have been so for many,
You guys on the other hand… what have you done?
If you think you know better? Go make your own game.
Go find a publisher and work on a pitch to wow them to fund your game. Go hire a team of concept artists, go hire a team of 3D artists, go hire a team of coders.
Go compete against other giants of companies that do mmos.
Do it your self if you think everything revolves around your problems. You know what, you wouldn’t make it out of the door, you guys have no character.
You guys are behaving like a bunch of kids. Maybe you are.
I have worked gaming QA for YEARS at the very same studio ArenaNet subcontracted their QA for GW2 to. I have to say, DEVs in general are completely out of touch with reality most of the time. They live in lala land. Programmers and QA, on the other hand..
Devs will say they are gamers yet most probably dont even play their own game(they will pretend to).
What do YOU know about the industry?
These glass canon thieves are funny in WvW.
And you condition thieves(which I assume you are) are also funny in WvW.
You all think your kitten doesn’t stink and that you are somehow better, more skilled players. Truth is, anytime I cross a progamer condition thief skillfully spamming LDB and flip-flopping like someone who’s having a seizure, I always make sure to /laugh at them before they get sent back to their spawn point.
Quite frankly, and unfortunately for us thieves that understand game mechanics and the utility we sacrifice to achieve that one massive hit, it is almost always easier to change/nerf skills that are deemed too powerful than to expect the masses to improve or learn to fight it.
The bads will always be bad, just got to expect to be forcibly brought down to their level.
I’ve never been one-shotted(not by a thief, anyway) but then again, I consider myself a good player. Thieves are creatures of habit, once you know what to look for avoiding their burst becomes easy.
Then again, from what I’ve seen, most players are so aware of their surroundings in this game that they could be crushed between two tectonic plates before they realise its hapenning.

To M.Hrouda:
I am sorry to say this but you sir, are completely out of touch with reality.
First off, I am not sure where you are getting that 15-25k HP ballpark from? I am a DPS specced Thief wearing full exotic and I am nowhere near 15k HP. The same can be said about Elementalists, Mesmers, Rangers so on and so forth. Unless you specifically gear up to have as much HP as possible, 15-25k HP isn’t achievable.
Second off, the reason most people decide to kite their way through the door buster episode is simply that there are just too many mobs that hit too hard and have too much hp. You can easily end up tanking 7 or 8 elites simultaneously. Now, if I get this right, most encounters in the very same dungeon you created are comprised of 2 to 3 of those same elite mobs.
2-3 elite mobs being your “standard” for difficulty throughout the dungeon.
5+? Makes me wonder what in the hell you are thinking.
