Condition* sorry I thought that was the acronym for it lol.
Noob here
So with poison utilities and condition damage equipment with p/p wouldn’t be as viable as say bezerker s/p d/d?

Hey guys I’m thinking about changing my ascended set from bezerker with dd/dp to (carrion?) Condition P/P. Is Condition more viable now in pve? I just wanna try something different but still be able to dish out the amount of damage necessary in fractals/raids/open world. What do you guys think?

What do you guys think about p/p bezerker for fractals/living world now that the pistols were buffed? I tried it last night and I personally loved it. I could easily survive, but I just spammed unload and blinded when needed. At one point I was hitting 25-30k back to back on a champion with unload. I’m not really sure how to stack unload, is it just the more you use it on a target the higher it hits? Also I was told that p/p is more for cnd. Is the damage for zerker p/p up to par with other ranged classes now?
Hey guys I just started doing fractals recently on my thief, and I have a couple questions
I find myself constantly getting 1 shot and honestly, it’s really annoying. I running with full zerker armor (2 ascended/4 exotic) I have +5 agony but I find myself getting crushed even in 1-9 fractals. Is zerker optimal for fractals? And what weapon sets should I be using? Right now I’m using d/p and shortbow. I’ve seen posts of people saying to use p/p, but does the ranged dps of shortbow or p/p on thief even get remotely close to what a ranger does? If not, then I really just feel like a handicap. My utility’s are signet of malice, shadow refuge, smoke screen, signet of agility, and dagger storm.
Hey guys. Just hit 80 this weekend on my thief. I’ve read a lot on " is ascended worth it". But I would like to get an updated response on this. My initial plans were to craft a few ascended pieces of zerker, to make grinding my pvp gear easier. And I’ve already crafted my pants. So my question is, is the stat difference still only 5% better than exotic? I was told it was buffed to a higher stat increase then 5%. And if the new HoT gear comes out, will exotic gear be enough to efficiently run the dungeons for it?
Ah okay. So I should have the invisible rev/faster rev in my build?
No need, you just place a shadow refuge. That way you and the downed guy are stealthed long enough for a rev.
Normally in PvE you take deadly arts, critical strikes and trickery. Maybe shadow arts if you have to stealth your group for a extended time. And unless you find the niche where Acrobatics is actually good and viable just forget that traitline exists.
Ah okay cool. Yeah I’m 99% sure I’m rolling with those things right now.
I buffed up the f1 skill to give the 3 buffs for 10 seconds, heal me, remove a condition, and lowered its cool down to 20. I also grabbed the trait that reduces cd on tricks so I use haste, shadow refuge, the precision buff, and for the elite I use dagger storm.
Excuse my lack of knowing the actual skills names haha. I’m at work atm.

1) D/D or anything that pleases you.
2) Berserker. Most damaging stats for us Thieves.
3) everybody is wanted in dungeons, this isn’t WoW. Yes, thieves are needed to stealthly pass a few unwanted groups or do emergency ressing in the midle of fights, which is extremely important.

Alright so I’m a l72 thief right now, and I play to be 80 by atleast Sunday.
But I have a couple of questions.
1) What are the most viable weapons for pve/dungeons? Leveling up I went through d/d, s/d, p/p, and I am now on d/p (which I’m liking the most). But my issue is that I don’t want to spend time/gold/whatever on a weapon that honestly isn’t the best I could be using. I’m focusing on precision and power. I know everyone says that it’s personal preference. I get that. But I just don’t want to waste time on getting a certain weapon, when I know there is a better option.
Also if you could throw In a rotation that’d be great. Right now I’m doing d/p, I do
F1 #5, #2 for stealth, #1 for backstab then I let it go through a rotation on #1 and repeat unless the mob is around 25% hp (if it is I spam #2 until it’s dead)
2) For dungeons, what stats should I be selecting? I’ve been choosing bezerker for the power and precision. Good choice?
Lastly, 3). Are theives ideal in pve? I mean honestly, I’ve read that we do the most single target dps, but are thieves really wanted for dungeons? I’ve watch a couple different videos and it really just seems like people like to have thieves to make everyone invisible to pass trash mobs.
if I could get some constructive feedback on this that’d be greatly appreciated.
