Order of Whisper weapons (Secret Weapons) are not exotic in stats and are rare. It is not a worthy investment unless you want the skin, thus rendering your attempt at obtaining a Legendary redundant..

As i mentioned before, I want the legendary skin because it is special, the order of whispers weapons are very pretty but they are not the same skin as meteorlogicus, so no redundancy there.
I think you meant to say that it would be a waste of gold because I could get exotic drops on my way or at lvl 80

I understand that you’re new, but please, please, please… DO NOT GO FOR A LEGENDARY AS SOON AS YOU HIT 80. You’re just ruining the lives of other players by being incompetent (when you do your dungeon runs, WvW, map completion, etc, etc, etc).

The legendary weapon preparation is an extensive affair, i’m lvl 40 but I am preparing for it as we speak.Gaining the right knowledge and resources takes time, I am sure you understand this.

As for being incompetent and ruining players lives…..It did kinda surprised me how you jumped to such conclusions about my future actions .I do enjoy thrilling and challenging combat in both pve and pvp; and if i may inform you, I do make sure to prepare adequately for the engagements that I choose to partake in.I would not be here asking questions otherwise.

And yes, if you transmute on top of the Legendary, you lose the Legendary skin (if you choose to override it). If you want to use a different skin, you could always get another weapon of the same type gasp.

snarky aren’t we? In the game I played previously, transmuted items were not destroyed.Ow but hey excuse me for being new…just point me towards the new players forum and I will be on my way.

At OP just so you know there is NO stat difference between a legendary weapon and an exotic weapon. If you are looking to get the best stats then do not try to get a legendary. Get an exotic and than work your way to a legendary if you really want that skin.

thanks for the tip, I actually plan to get the order of whispers secret weapons(yeah so don’t tell anyone:) and once i finally get the legendary wep gonna use the skin on my secret weapon.

One question on transmutation, if i do transmute my weapon to a legendary skin..both items get destroyed and one new item with the skin and stats i want gets created right?.Now the part that confuses me is what happens if i want to try a different skin on my weapon later on ….do i loose my legendary skin forever ?

Okay I have formulated a plan of attack for myself, tell me how this sounds:-

1.Go for total world completion as I level to 80 and beyond(i will farm dungeons in the meantime.I will stockpile all the karma and coins I get from this and story quest.(for legendary weapon)

2.Get some magic find to help with finding stuff because I REALLY need gold for the legendary scepter ,and a few things on the way like a the order of whispers armor which alone is 23 gold (armor plus weps)-I like it stats .I plan to grab it as soon as i hit 80.Luckily i chose that order as I progressed through my storyline.

3.After getting to 80 farm dungeons for the mats I will need to make the legendary scepter “meteorlogicus”

4.I will also while leveling, work on my armosmithing and artificing which I need 400 of each for my legendary crafting .(from info on the wiki page)

5.Patience…lots of it. I see myself propably getting the legendary wep Next year by propably april , before april hopefully.If i make a little progress each day, i will still be very happy!(job and school take me away from game)

what do you guys think?

The best armor/weapons in the game is that the legendary armor ?what is legendary armor and weapons for a necromancer called?
Is it a specific set? or are there a couple of sets /weapons that are considered legendary.

what specifically do i need to get this set is it crafted ? dropped? and what do i need to do crafting wise,pve or pvp wise to get this armor

A really nice player by the name “Better red thendead[EA]” took time to help me out , ran me though some of the cities answering many of my questions , thank you so much!!!

Thanks for the info, i was just getting a bit frustrated thinking i was doign something wrong.I just did a lvl 17 quest where i am supposed to guard the skirrit as they gather material and dide so many times my gear broke, I was begining to think that maybe they should have put a lvl 20+ req on the mission instead of 17 on my quest log.I also began doubting my armor.
The worst part of the quest was at the last before you finish it you get swarmed by like 6 enemies and i just die becuase they kill all my npcs and then me so fast .i was like WTF!!.

Anyway I will go ahead and explore the map and maybe even do the same lower level dynamic events ive done before and level up that way.I was just s little disappointed at that.I also did a lvl 16 dynamic event (being lvl 17)and also got my butt handed to me untill someone popped outta no where to help.

I keep thinking maybe it’s my server that is too quiet because i don’t see anyone running around which is why my first questtion was which is the most popular server so at least if i do run into events that require groups i may easily run into company.

someone also gave me some info that i should stockpile my karma till end level, so i should not use it on anything while leveling.I wondered if that was the same for my silver if i should stockpile it for 80 and just where quest rewards or just buy gear every 5 levels or so from the trading post.

Either way I’m stuck in this zone till i can get to lvl 22 to continue my story quest which requires 22.Which is fine as long as i am not ignoring/forgetting something very important that shall help me level properly.

Hi guys i wanted to just know real quick which is the most popular US server?
My necromancer main story quest shows 22…but I am only lvl 17 and and I am also getting my butt kicked by lvl 17 dynamic events. Something must be wrong.The zone i am in is 1-15.Should i just grind out the same dynamic events till i get high enough to continue my story quest?

My gear is a mix of lvl 14-16 pieces could this be the issue? i am dying so many times,especially when groups of enemies come round me in lvl 17 dynamic events and kill me quick.

should I just buy new gear from the trading post?(i don’t want to waste my silver and copper) or should i just do lower level dynamic events till i get the gear that will fill my slots.I just don’t wanna go broke unnecessarily and i feel like I ’m doing something wrong and spending far longer in lower level areas than i should.
