It didn’t like that.
Same issue here on Europe servers (don’t know if that makes a difference).

As of the April 15th update, many things aren’t great. Lots of people are angry, but besides all of that which I personally don’t mind, there’s the fact that the Gem Store seems to be broken.
It’s a problem encountered by myself and numerous other people, so it must have grounds SOMEWHERE outside of issues on my end. When we try to click the “Buy Gems” button, nothing happens.
It’s almost like you don’t want our money.
