I’ve spent a chunk of time testing out all the classes, levelling to 10 and going to the PvP lobby to test out skills and such. However, i cant find the right profession.
I have a level 80 ranger from a while ago (just came back to gw) but I find it extremely boring.
It took me a long while until i found a class on WoW that i could play all the time, (8 100’s until i found the joys of monk)
I really dont want to go through the process of levelling every class to max until i find one i like, so im looking for some help with it.
Warrior:
I find quite dull, the lack of anything complex and visuals just make me fall asleep.
I also really wished sword/shield builds were viable, but have been told its not even worth it.
Guardian:
Liked it at first but then that too became extremely dull, mostly because of the thought that, a guardian generally seems like a tanky type, but using a greatsword over x/shield really just makes it seem boring to me. The buffs and the sustain seem good but it just isnt that fun.
Necromancer:
I really want to like this, the health steal mechanic is what i really like, (mained a blood dk for a while, also refused to give up BT over IE on league). But when i play it, i just dont feel like im doing anything, i can dot everything up and fall asleep. I would have thought the sustain of this profession would be incredible, but quite a few times the healing hasn’t been enough.
Thief:
I like this profession for the d/d condi build, but seeing as its getting nerfed and that it doesnt seem to work at 80 just puts me off. I tried a power d/d build and the crits were nice, but setting up for it was just annoying, where sometimes i wouldnt be placed in stealth but initiative was spent. I just dont like feeling so squishy.
Mesmer:
The idea of the class is good, but i just found it really boring to play. I like the clones and the mobility.
Engineer:
Was fun at first but then became extremely dull. I think it may be because i like melee more. The toolkits were good.
Elementalist:
Seems really fun but is way too squishy for me.
Ranger:
I really liked this profession when i used to play, but coming back i just find it so boring just sitting back watching arrow after arrow after arrow…you get the idea
It would mainly be for PvE but some PvP. I main Mistweaver/WW Monk on WoW if that helps. I like high sustain, high mobility classes. Im not a fan of the greatsword.
I do like big critical hits too.
Any help would be much appreciated.
