Hi zooker,

To answer your question on sigils:
(Note, info from the wiki and assumes superior sigil)

Healing sigils are as follows:
Restoration (self heal only) (no cooldown listed) – you are healed each time you kill a foe (670 healing, no coefficient listed)
Water (10 sec cd) – 30% chance to heal allies on crit (370 heal, 0.1 coef?)
Renewal (9 sec cd) – heal allies on weapon swap (374 heal, 0.1 coef?)

Since youre looking for group support the options are water or renewal. Both heal about the same with similar cooldown.
I pretty much regard renewal as a clear winner. You cant swap weapons faster than 9 sec anyhow. Water has a 10 sec cooldown, then what ever amount of time it takes you to crit (an average of 3 times)
I heard somewhere that sigils are being looked at and those ‘chance on crit’ will change to ‘on crit’ so in the future water might fit you better

So if you find you swap weapons often then renewal wins
If you dont swap weapons often and have a decent crit rate maybe water wins

On another note, I would suggest thinking about soul reaping 3: path of midnight – reduces recharge of death shroud skills (15%)

I generally feel that life transfer is the better group heal compared to well of blood
Well of blood has a big heal to start with ( but that is a self heal only). The 11 ticks will affect you and allies
However i get annoyed when you have the presence of mind to notice an ally is in trouble so you drop well of blood or well of power, then the ally dodge rolls out of it.

Life transfer heals a good amount pretty quickly, and there is no well to stand in, you can move with the group if need be. The best part is that your allies are healed whether they like it or not.

Soul reaping 3 will lower the cd for life transfer

WvW apothecary necro build/discussion

Hi Roe,
I run a build similar to what you are suggesting (but I’m going to give you a mixed response).

I am running in Celestial stats (with some settlers as a temporary solution, till I can fill those with remaining Celestial).
I run a 0/30/0/20/20, staff & Dagger+Dagger.
Well of Blood, spectal wall, locust signet, plague
(the 3rd utility I swap around, and dont feel anything really stands out as useful in zerg vs zerg).

now that you mention of the spite 5 minor, I suspect I’ll rebuild to fit that in.

in zerg vs zerg you will definitely find plenty of uses for spectral wall to protect your allies, or CC your enemies.
I have avoided wells because I have gotten frusterated when I notice an ally is in trouble and I drop a well of blood and they dodge roll out of it.
I like the other Necro healing abilities, (transfusion, and leave DS), it just heals what ever is around whether they want it or not, and it happens when I am doing what I usually would when fighting.

In a zerg vs zerg, I will generally use plague early (at the front lines) blind enemies, then when that runs out I’ll go DS and use 5, and 4 (heals) while I am dropping back to the rest of the ranged. Then fight with the ranged group. Then when I leave DS I will get another area heal.

I will say this though:
Since my gear is mostly Celestial, healing is soemething that just comes with it.

you are suggesting itemizing apothecary (primary heal, secondary Cond dmg and toughness).
I think you might be a bit dissapointed if you itemize primarily for healing. I also say this because you mentioned you wanted to do this because you liked support on a guardian.
my warning is that necro healing and support will be nowhere near what a guardian can do.

Ascended Backpiece?

Space cowboy, the answer to your question is no (with a very unlikely caveat)

Acended back pieces are all mystic forge recipes, there are 3 flavors.

#1: requires a prototype fractal capacitor (exotic) – This is purchased with 1350 fractal relics, the component to upgrade it to ascended costs 500 fractal relics. You most definitely must set foot in FotM to go this route.

#2: requires 1 vial of condensed mists essence . These are only found in FotM. They drop off of trash, I will say it isnt that difficult to get and is available in low level fractals, but yes, you must set foot into FotM to get it. In addition to this, these recipes require 250 of a tier 6 crafting material (example: ancient bones, vicious fangs, ect) and 50 globs of ectoplasm.

#3: (the caveat) requires sclerite karka shell (exotic). This was a reward from a living story meta from months ago, and is no longer obtainable.

Happens to me too. I found that positioning the camera with mouse 1 can cause you to target something else. When you hold mouse 1 to position the camera (the cursor is hidden when you do this). If you release mouse 1 and if your cursor is on a friendly player that player will be targeted.
