Charge, Savage Leap, Bull's Charge auto targeting to closest enemy?

Why must our charge abilities auto-target to the closest enemy when we have nothing targeted? This is quite annoying when you are trying to use these abilities for traveling across terrain or retreating/getting away in WvW /Spvp. It’s pretty hard to utilize the charge skills to their full potential when they can work against you. It is possible to make an option to turn off auto targeting when an enemy is not selected/in range?
Yes, it’s in your game options. Before making a post, you may actually want to check for things in-game or ask people in-game about it. There is no reason for this post to exist.
I don’t see how asking in-game is any different from asking here. There is no reason for your post to exist as you come off as a jerk.

Here’s mine, though some notes: I haven’t decided on scope or leg mods for 20 in tools, I go that far for the lowered CD on grenade barrage and more importantly bandage self, plus the crit dmg is nice as well. It’s a rifle/grenade build, with using the quick close-range burst of rifle, followed with the overcharged → net shot, and grenading while immobilized. The Elixir C is replaceable with Elixir U depending on what you’re doing, same with Elixir B if you really wanted to. Mortar is for anti-structure or niche usage of the #5 (knock things away caught in it, okay burst), but swapped out for supply crate more often than not.
I’d have to say the stats not transferring to our kits is a QoL change, I mean the profession is based around the idea of having numerous kits to swap into, yet we’re penalized on stats and sigils for doing so and none work while in it. If I feel like going full flamethrower or grenade/bomb kits, there is 0 reason for me to have a gun equipped except for CC utility as it is, and that really hurts on customization, not to mention that puts our overall stats down 1-2 slots (and again, lack of sigil beyond say stacking ones that the buff stays while swapped).
