Well the new update gave me literally what I’ve been looking for since launch, I think I’m finally done.

I was going to go with 8/10, but then I noticed that trout pout. pleasdonthitme! 7/10, I wish there was more color to either her face OR her hair. The paleness just makes me a bit uneasy.

As for my main, he recently got his eye put out by a skritt (cause he did the whole “your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries” bit), but that’s okay because I was going after the whole ‘grizzled veteran of the front’ look anyway. Besides, now he’s got that evil eye when he drops into a fighting stance.

Lol, if it was that a thief, I’d give it more. And if beard was shaved a bit better xD (it looks like a man in mid 30s or even 40s here, xD no offense)

- in general, it looks cool pirateish, a pirate warrior. Yarr! 8/10.

Fine, Healing Signet is better. But that doesn’t mean anything, because skills and traits cannot be compared without considering everything else.

You compared SoR with Soothing Mists, Regen and using the heals in Water against Healing Signet and Adrenal Healing. Could we take into account the immunity skills and such that the warrior has?

You forgot to mention default lifepool and armor type.

I have seen hit hit 16k, because it has on me. This was when i had just over 1,600Toughness and 18k health….

It DOES happen. Most of the time its in the 6-12k range, but it DOES hit that 16k depending on the build.

Yep, happened to me too. Same health same Thoughness. 16k Crit. I didn’t even stand a chance. I damaged thief and nearly killed him, but he stealth and crit again the very same moment.

Elementalist is FORCED using 30 water and 30 arcana.

Lesson 1, on using Churning Earth:

1- Make sure you have Lightning Flash and Armor of Earth ready
2- Cast Armor of Earth
3- Cast Churning Earth
4- Lightning Flash on your enemy 1 sec before it ends

Otherwise: Don’t use it.

1- Second before Churning Earth ends you flash to hit
2- Armor of Earth and Lightning flash are on cooldown

3- They immobilize you. IF you have Cleansing Fire you remove that condition, taking some damage.
3- They immobilize you. IF you have Mist form you deny some damage.

4- You start to flee. They immobilize you again!
5- Dead.

Not worth using two skills for Churning Earth. Unless you have your team mates nearby that can protect you from taking tons of damage.

If you’re a condition ele with perplexity runes you can use churning as a beacon for OMGLETSINTERRUPT and then pop shocking aura for the stun, this usually results in about 3k raw damage + bleeding + confusion…. And it’s quite funny to watch

I think there are better runes for Eles I don’t need confusion length if I have no skills that deal confusion at all. But it might work. Did not try.

IMO the real reason Elementalists are underpowered is because of the skills itself. Very high cooldown for “lackluster” skills. Does Churning Earth, a static channeling skill which makes you a sitting duck literally and can be easily telegraph and dodged deserve a 30 second cooldown? Does Fire Grab, a buggy clunky skill which is very hard to hit deserve a 45 second cooldown? Does RtL deserve a 40 second cooldown? I don’t even want to get started with Focus skills.

So I think the best way to buff the class is to review the skill cooldowns and reduce it appropriately. Elementalist is in the lowest HP and armor tier without natural defensive mechanism like clones or stealth, so give Elementalist skills more evasion frames and blinds. I really wonder why thieves, who already is in medium armor, has more access to spammable blinds and evades even though they already have easy access to stealth. One more thing, remove the effects of chill on attunement swap recharge.

Eles should be redesigned. Completely.
As for RtL – 40 sec, yeah why not? It bothers me when travelling it stops for no reason (even if ground is flat).
At the end of RtL often character stops and I can’t move. I have to repeatedly spam movement keys to start moving again. Doh. It happens even with autorun. Not always but often. (imagine that you’re fleeing away from zerk army in WvW and character stops – following with 1 year immobilize).

When fighting mobs or huge bosses (e.g. Oak in Queensdale). Even though I am near it, I use RtL and it doesn’t hit it. It keeps charging into a mob. Like there’s a wall or something, gaining 40sec cooldown on that skill. So much about halving CD if it hits.

Also this living story when fighting a hologram. When she fires laser and leaves these trails on the grund, this after-laser-effect. You cannot RtL across it.

When I just started to play this game, I’ve been on the other server for a week or so but moved to Gandara for some reason (free transfer). It remains unknown to me but I have feeling this just had to happen..

I must say I am very pleased with the decision I’ve made.

Gandara is full of kind, fun and helpful people. Community is awesome, everything is awesome.. our WvW.. is awesome

As a PvE and WvW oriented player I can vouche that Gandara often gets 100% of WvW map control (either Gandara Borderlands or Eternal).
