Ok I will be frank about this ROLL WHATEVER YOU WANT TO PLAY.
If there is one thing I absolutely hate is when I have to guide myself to other people’s whims to choose how I play a game I payed for in orther to enjoy Myself (see the emphasis)
In any case I rolled all the classes mostly deleted some characters as i found them boring (ele just wasn’t for me in GW 2, I preffered the GW 1 version).
I stuck with thief and guardian because I enjoyed the feel behind the class and lore, Plus for roleplay reasons, call me a bit imaginative but I made up this little continuity story for my characters form GW1 and my thief is the descendant of my assassin from GW1 with some cool back story and what not.
The main point is this is a game in which you should have fun playing. Make a necro to play the game with friends. Noone is going to deny you the right to play what you want to play and yes if you want to speed clear dungeons you know the meta (Look at me Im a zerker uuu – pff). If you want to just explore play have fun gimmick arround with the class mechanics by all means do so.
The core is you got some characters to Lvl 80 and if you had fun playing them and want to try something new go for it.
I’m having hopes they are going to fix this eventually and they started taking steps towards rebalancing slowly. No more 10 min dungeon runs, like come on that is not suppossed to happen people.
Point of my rant is, just paly what you want to play, don’t be worried or ashamed of it.
And hey I made a necro today and guess what I love it love it love and nobody cna take that away from me.
Would also suggest you take a look at some of Nemesis’ build videos on the necor on youtube, they will make you fall in love with the class
