Hi all,

I had a great moment of people helping each other. There was a common goal: a view – point

To reach it, you had to fight several spots with tough ghosts, and the path was all but obvious. We made it together untill a certain point, seeing the view point just a few meters higher, but couldn’t see a way to get there. We didn’t want to give up, but we were all like: is this it? can’t we make it? Until one of us saw a little “hidden” path and he shared it with the group. This way we made it untill the top. Great experience

Downside of the adventure: I missed the last jump, landed on a piece of rock a little bit lower, but couldn’t reach it, I am sure if they could, they would have helped me, but they couldn’t, Now I can try again this evening

Upside: I might lead the way tonight and help others

I have read the entire post. It took me an hour or 2 to do so, so thank you guys for spending so much time, not gaming :p

just joking, the more i read, the more I started smiling. Everything said here was so spot on.

I have a char necro and a sylvari warrior, both around lvl 15, so I am still pretty “new”. I like the way you can do just so much without the help of anyone, just wandering around, doing private story or “collecting” hearts.

But I do agree with you all that you see just so little interaction between the players, do event and run.

Am I different? yes and no.
I can’t ressist and try to ress somebody if I see them downed, no mather if its a player or NPC. I even ressed a NPC, came back just 2 minutes later, to see it dead again. Ressed it again and killed the near mob.

I also can’t resist to help an other player that has drawn too much attention to himself or has trouble handling a monster.

The few times I really noticed someone helping me with a mob or even jumping puzzle, I try to say thanks.

I do have to admit I am not much of a chatter in the game. This is also the reason I wasn’t interesting in joining a guild soon, but I did a few days ago. it was a flemish speaking guild and so am I, that is way. i am already a bit more a chatter now.

The idea of a helpfull guild, or spreading the act by acting yourself like, sounds just great. I am still a low level so want be much of help, yet. But I will try my best to act by this credo and spread it in the game, starting with the guild I am in. If you ever make this guild, invite me: ebothorn or hordakx on the server Piken Square7

Aren’t they gimmicks in most MMO’s? lots of npcs and lots of vendors, guild stuff maybe and crafting. Don’t remember ever seeing something interesting in a capital town/city in a MMO

Is the slowness of the Charr running animation bugging you?

If they are running on 4 paws, they look more relaxed.
They never run on 4 paws when they are in a fight.

Looking it like that it would fit that it seems slows.

Although it would be neat if you would run faster, but like they said above: it wouldn’t be balanced, than they need to make something like that for each class

Why not just create a norn and delete the asura?

Class for a Sylvari

Personally the sylvari is my first char that I created.
Just lvl 11 or 12 so i haven’t made an other yet.

My sylvari is a warrior. I wanted to make something not so obvious, so not a sylvari ranger/thief. necro or elementist would fit nice too. So I doubted about a sylvari warrior or a asura warrior. But didn’t really liked the look for an asura warrior so I choose a sylvari warrior.

Just got my sylvari hammer. A stone with sticks and plants around. Just got to love the look

You should check out the physical skills!

well I saw those skills, but at first they didn’t seemed really interesting.
After reading this, that may be a good way to go for my hammer/rifle warrior that I just got to lvl 10 .

Or even a good way to go with other weapons. the only downside I see if you use all these skills: very few/low healing skills.

But still Ithink I am going to try some of those.

disasemble or sell?

I just begun playing yesterday. I am around level 4.

I bought gathering materials as soon as possible, because I read it was a good thing to do on this forum.

But what should I do with equipment I dont use/can use?
Should I sell it for money, or is it better to disasemble them?
I am not really planning to start crafting soon after all I read on the forums here.

Can anyone give me a good advice about it?
Sorry if this has been asked before

New and a few questions too weapon combo

hey all

I haven’t played yet, just bought the game.

I am going to start with a warrior. I have only really checked te weapons skills/combinations and not the traits, but I would like a bit of oppinions of people who are playing.

I was thinking of a hammer and axe/mace or hammer and mace/axe.

The Longbow did look like it had some sweet skills too and a warrior with a bow is a nice change for once. Did like the bow more than the rifle though.

So my questions is:
Would it be better/more fun/viable to go for H and A/M, H and M/A or one of these two combined with the lang bow? wich and why?
