This is what fixed the code 7 issue for me way back in october..
Create a shortcut for guild wars 2, under properties you have a box called “Target” or “goal” or something similiar, it should be pointing towards your GW2.exe file.
Change this:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\GW2\Gw2.exe”
To this:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\GW2\Gw2.exe” /clientport 80

So simply add /clientport 80 at the end, best of luck!

This actually does work! I was having the error 7 issue for months and after trying this there has been no issue for the past few days now.

I did everything UserX.8217 suggested except I typed this instead after the target name:
/clientport 80, this solved the error 7 problem for me and I was able to play all day yesterday. Guys give it a try and let me know.

i had this error and for some reason running as an admin made me connect…have you guys tried it?

I was playing GW2 yesterday until around 3 pm and it randomly kicked me off the server giving me this error code (7:11:3:189:101). I was wondering if this is an issue with the server or is it something on my end? My friend can connect fine but the world is lagging he says. Is anyone experiencing this issue too?
