  • run as admin
  • try disabling avast
  • try google dns or opendns instead of your default isp dns
  • try -repair or -image command

I have the same issue, How would i go about changing to googledns or open dns? Please explain it in simple terms, I am not so fancy with computer configuring/software.

Had the same problem. I downloaded and installed this program http://www.hotspotshield.com/en and it fixed the problem

Thank you for your suggestion, however I’m not sure I am comfortable installing that and Having it permanently installed on my computer in order to play Guild Wars or at least update it. Is there any other solutions?

I was downloading the wintersday patch fine up until the last 3 files, then i this message appears where the download would usually be ‘Download failed! please check your internet connection and try again (2)’. I know for sure that my internet is working fine and I have tried to download several times, each time is the same result.
What is wrong? Can anyone suggest how I might fix this?
