I am lvl 80 now and Im just on 1 gold :PP

Is it? I mean,
- Switching to a kit removes the stats of the weapon, so good weapons wont matter when using kits.
- There isnt much of a melee option, and those that are kinda sucks.
- Turrets are underpowered.
- Turrets get auto selected by mobs to attack on.
- Flamethrower misses all the time.
- Grenade kit is easy to avoid in PvP.

The only thing that I have found good with engineers is the elixir gun.
All this is what I have found out by myself though, so please prove me wrong.

someone REALLY needs to “L2P”. The flamethrower isnt that bad, people just have no bloody ide how to use it. Grenade kit is amazing in PvP, one again learn to use it. Fact is, all kits are good.

Im playing condition flamethrower mostly, but I find that since I loose the weapon stats when playing ft, condition pistol is better.

Clearly this doesn’t apply to level-capped players, but have you considered targeting content at a higher level than your character? I prefer difficult content, so personally I tend to look for content that’s 2 levels higher than my own.

But then what do you do when you have finished the higher lvl content? Go back to the lower lvl again?

In WoW there was always like an “easy” way to do things, but in GW2 everything is more complicated. Im not saying that is bad though. Its gonna be a fun experience

I have a lvl 80 now, and from what I have seen on the TP and on random lvl 80 vendors, I am really poor. A good exotic weapon for my Engineer on the TP costs about 20g, and when I had most gold I had around 2. How am I supposed to have all that money??

Getting 3 gold and getting 40k karma in lvl 80 takes pretty much the same time…

I have a flamethrower build on my Engineer. It only focuses on condition damage and that is great on thiefs in sPVP
