ty guys again!
Hi folks,
I know this is such a common topic, I’ve read so much on this and now I’m so much confused about it.
My specifics are:
Windows 7 32 bit
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.50 GHz (not oc) with nVidia MCP73PV mobo
Radeon HD 7750 (1GB dedicated; not oc) with Catalyst 13.1
4 GB DDR2 RAM
I’ve recently upgraded my GPU from a Radeon HD 4650 (just for GW2 btw..) and despite better eyecandy stuff my FPS did not grow, still sitting around 20+ in cities and 40+ outside.
In WvW those FPS drops down to around 5 (it’s like watching a photo album…) when zerg battles take place.
I’ve read this is a “known” issue, but that game mode in this state is rather unplayable. I know that WvW is very CPU intensive and I should buy at least a i5 @ 2.50 GHz and an adapted mobo (that means other 200€ just for that game…) in order to play with more stable FPS in that mode , but he freaking scares me to know that people with far better specifics than mine have the same problem.
So people suggests to update BIOS, mobo drivevers, overclocking CPU and GPU, getting a 64 bit OS, running the game from a SSD, changing internet provider and maybe hiring a witch doctor too.
Now, it’s clear to me that it would be better to install the game on a nasa machine, but in my particular case, what should I do to get around 15-20 fps in WvW battles?
Thank you in advance
