Well I sort of solved the problem using the “netsh winsock reset catalog” command in the cmd.exe as the user Korinth.9643 said in a post 3 months ago. So I have to thank him and hope this doesn’t happen again.

Since I started playing Guild wars 2 again last week ( I had stopped playing for some months) I’ve been having constant connection problems. I am disconnected from the game with error 7, sometimes after playing 5 minutes, sometimes after 2 hours. And lately I haven’t been able to play at all because after this last update I receive the “Connection error(s) detected. Retrying…” error and nothing that I do seems to help. I Use AVG but I disable it completely before opening the launcher as well as my firewall. Also, I use the Google DNS, I have tried the “-image” and “-repair” commands and I run the game as the administrator. Before the last patch these would solve the problem but they don’t work anymore. I really want to play the game and I feel so frustrated because when I bought it a couple of months ago it worked perfectly well all the time.

I have the same problem. Stopped playing for a couple of months, then yesterday tried to play again and I was being disconnected all the time receiving error 7. Today I still received the error but my screen turned black and I had to restart the game. And finally now I can’t even open the launcher because I receive this “Connection error(s) detected. Retrying…” I have disabled my firewall and anti virus but it doesn’t work at all.
