Did they tell you that your processor is 64bit capable, and that you should install a 64bit OS? If so, you would be wise to listen to them, because they told me the same thing when I got crashed to desktop every 5 minutes. Haven’t Crashed since.
I was just about to post something about this, but it would appear you have beaten me to the punch.
Anyway I help run a guild with an unusual structure, where there are 3 people in the highest rank. I ran into a situation where someone got mistakenly promoted to the Leader rank, then refused to demote themself. I would rather not get into the specifics of the story too much but needless to say this has lead to a lot more arguments than I would like.
After some discussion my fellow guild leaders and myself came to the conclusion that a vote system, similar to how it works when you attempt to kick someone from your party (little box pops up asking for someone else in the party to agree) would be quite usual for the purposes of managing members in a diplomatic way. eg: demoting, promoting and removing people.
Now this system is not without a major flaw, since there is a danger that in larger guilds this could become something far too over political.
