I have the same annoying issue and switching back and forth between small/normal when I want to use the TP is annoying.

I had the same issue as everyone else, diving one of the veterans if you can kill it quick enough helped me big time but I did use one armor repair pretty quickly and no revive orbs the second time.

Having failed this morning upon unlocking this and trying for about 30 minutes through the first try only to fail I took a break for a few hours then checked my bank where I took armor repair items and revive orbs – doing that I managed to successfully complete the personal story mission.

I did notice the second time that if I rushed one of the veterans immediately and wiped that out it made the other 3 (?) a piece of cake with my Guardian as neither of them caused aggro to bring their packs in.
