End of Story Victory or Death ?

Yep, I usually see people around LA or Cursed Shore looking for Arah Story Mode. You can always try to get in a nice guild where your guildies would love to help you out!

I know other people have the complete opposite opinion of me, but I personally found the final mission to be very satisfying and enjoyable, so I’d give it another go!

Lord Faren

He’s in the home instance.

He’s inside a house, so make sure you explore all the doors on Manor Hill that can be opened.

Thank you! Totally found him… however it appears that Lord Faren was goofing off and found himself stuck in an elegant couch! It made my character laugh till his stomach hurt! Sadly, I couldn’t get him out, so we’ll have to bro out another time hehe

Good to see that I’m not the only Lord Faren supporter
Hope ArenaNet finds a way to implement him in the game again!

Lord Faren

Whatever happened to the charming ol’ Lord Faren??

You saw him a good amount of times from around levels 1 to 20 in the Human Nobility personal story, but after that, no more! I looked around my home instance, and couldn’t find him. Even though he didn’t play the biggest part in the overall story, he is still supposed to be a close friend to your character, and personally, I found him to be really amusing and enjoyable!

I demand more elegant dinner parties with the Tyrian 1% with Lord Faren by my side while he tries to woo the hearts of ladies. He’s rich you know.

No WvW content updates since release. Why?

Somewhere towards the end of the recent State of the Game Discussion, Jonathan Sharp mentions that in the upcoming monthly updates for January, February, and March will be “themed,” and one of the themes for either of those months will be World v World (and sPvP)!

Suggestion for Community: Better PC?

in The Lost Shores

Posted by: VCR.9721

VCR.9721

I don’t think getting a better PC would solve the lag problems, those were on Anet’s part.

I play on my laptop that runs the game at pretty much the bare minimum: Core i3, Intel HD 3000, and 4 GBs of RAM. Phase 1 was a completely laggy, but for Phase 3, I was fortunate to not be stricken by lag or get disconnected, and I had a brutally fun time slaughtering my way through karka for 2 hours! lol And aside from this event, I still WvW. My frame rate dips down quite a bit when there’s a MASSIVE amount of people on screen, but at least for me, I consider it playable.

So yeah, I don’t think getting a better PC would necessarily make everything better. Hopefully the next time around, Anet will nail down all the kinks for these events, and once that happens, I think they will be hitting home runs. Despite all the bugs and lag issues, I still had fun with Lost Shores! But there is definitely room for improvement

New Zone Difficulty

in The Lost Shores

It definitely is a difficult zone…. and I like that!

I remember back in the ol’ beta days when I tried out AC for the first time, and everyone was getting slaughtered. Though it was frustrating to die countless times, it was still really fun and it felt great to beat something so difficult. However now days, after reaching level 80, getting properly geared, and learning how to properly play my character, nothing has really felt as challenging (except for YOU Mad King Clocktower hehe). One day while wondering alone around Orr, I kinda just thought to myself, “I wish I would die a bit more.” And I don’t mean that in a suicidal way, hah! And that’s also not to say that I find the game boring, I still will be lovingly playing this game for quite a while, but it’s nice to be faced with difficulty at times.

So at least for me, I really enjoy how the new zone has upped the ante. It is quite easy to get ganked by those Karkas, but I embrace it! It feels like a level 80 zone, where instead of trying to go solo, you should team up and work together to succeed. And I like that

Estate of Decay

in Personal Story

In the “Estate of Decay” personal story mission, I believe the fight with the Mouth of Zhaitan is bugged.

One of the Mouth’s attacks is a shock wave, ground tremor that knocks you down and adds 5 stacks of confusion. Many times after being knocked down, my character stands back up, but he was unable to move for up to 5 seconds, and then at some point, I couldn’t move at all, and I had to quit the mission.

The Mouth also spews out this disgusting brown sludge attack, that when in contact with, hurts you with various conditions. Now see, the Mouth would get me with the sludge AoE after knocking me down with the shock wave, and I was assuming that maybe I received the Immobilized condition, but it just wasn’t showing up on the condition bar, and even after using multiple condition removals, I was still unable to move. After awhile, I came to the conclusion that perhaps the knockdown was the root problem here.

So in summary: I think the Mouth of Zhaitan’s knockdown is bugged because even after standing up, my character was still unable to move for up to 5 seconds, and eventually, he couldn’t move at all!

Thanks in advanced! And keep up the good work
