I agree. In many other MMO’s it looks like they put zero thought into some of the quest outposts. In Guild Wars 2 though, it’s obvious that they put attention to detail in each and every town. That is something I really do appreciate.

PvE in GW 2 is more satisfying than any other game I’ve been in. I’ve played a myriad of other MMORPGS. The only games that comes close to being this satisfying in pve is Rift(Due to Rift invasions) and World of Warcraft(Due to the massive amount of pve content).

As far as removing the Trinity? No. If you want the trinity there are plenty of other fine MMORPG’s out there that you can play. The lack of a trinity is one of the big reasons why I bought this game. While I understand some of your reasons for desiring the trinity, I don’t think it’s reason enough to change it for everyone else who bought this game due to not having to sit in LFG for an hour looking for a tank and a healer.

I’m enjoying GW 2 a lot. I didn’t expect it to be like GW 1 except for the lore because Anet made it clear that the game would be radically different. When I want to play Guild Wars, I play Guild Wars. When I want to play Guild Wars 2, I play Guild Wars 2.

I think that there are some obvious issues with the game that have been brought up on this forum multiple times but that doesn’t change the fact that I am enjoying a game that I don’t have to pay a subscription for. I sincerely feel that I have gotten my money’s worth with GW 2. I expect that we will see massive improvements to the game in upcoming expansions just as we saw GW 1 make massive improvements with their expansions.

The solution is rather simple in my opinion. Allow magic find stats to affect the party as a whole(so long as they are in the same map/instance.) This will give benefit to those who are wearing gear that is best for combat as well as possibly encourage community farming on maps.

I’m sure some will disagree but this would be my solution to this issue.

Make sure that you have a strong power supply so that the hardware can work to its fullest capacity. Also make sure it has good cooling so that the heat can stay under control. The specs you are quoting are fine though.

I like the ranger a lot for soloing. If you like having pets that is another plus for the ranger. The ranger is also pretty effective in melee as well if you have good vitality.

I named my warthog Pumba. I get PM’s from people laughing all the time. Besides the Lion King reference I don’t know why it’s so funny to some people.

I suppose it isn’t evident enough to you that I was merely interested enough in the subject matter to ask this question.

Actually though, your point is still valid. I had read some articles that incorrectly stated that Lord Faren’s house was actually the Noble player’s house. I had discovered that at work but unfortunately our work’s firewall does not allow us to get on to the Guild Wars 2 forums. Even though you were a bit snarky, thanks for at least answering.

Human Noble Story and home instance question

I’m aware of the numerous threads about the personal story practically not affecting your home instance. However, I have a rather specific question:

In the Trial of Minister Zamon there is a guard there that you can have a brief dialogue with. He talks about how his sister lost her job because of Zamon. You then offer to allow her to work at your house(I think that is what the dialogue implied anyway). After the quest I went back to my home instance to find that this person I was supposed to help was not there. Did they really put such a dialogue there for almost no reason? Thanks.

In the first part of the story for the “street rat”, after I talk with the Captain, I went upstairs and talked to Petra. She said:

“Hello again! We just love hearing about what you’ve been up t. It’s so much more interesting that my father’s old war stories. Anything new and exciting to share?”

Typo is pretty obvious.

It’s not a software issue but this was the closest forum that I could think of for this topic.

I’m not sure whether I should rate happiness with my class or with the game overall so I’ll do both. I’ve tried every class so far(But not past lvl 23 in beta.)

Ranger- 10/10

Guardian- 9/10

Warrior-8/10

Engineer-9/10

Mesmer-7/10

Elementalist-8/10

Necromancer-7/10

Thief-10/10

Overall game experience: 9/10

-1 for blantant lack of communication from forum mods and their tech support department.

Their community manager and reps seem to do a good job though. Seeing the devs post here is encouraging as well so that saves them a point.

If it weren’t for my one gripe about communication I’d have zero problems with this game, however, overall, I like this game a lot and see myself playing it for a long time.

You stated on page 10 about two hours ago on the old/unresolved ticket thread that his ticket is resolved.

Actually, it isn’t resolved, now when he tries to log in to ncsoft’s website it says the password or name is incorrect, when he tries to get a new one it says his email doesn’t exist. Further, we would not even have known that it was resolved had you not taken the initiative to tell us(we appreciate that.) Now he can’t even get into his ncsoft account, thus, he is still unable to play gw 2 unless he applies his serial code to a new email, which with as much effort as he put into Guild Wars isn’t feasible. We’d appreciate any further assistance.

Basically though, when he tried log in he got a message saying his account is blocked, now, after you marked the ticket as resolved it is acting like his account doesn’t exist. o_O

My friend(who can’t post here) has been waiting to be able to play Guild Wars 2 again since the second day of head start. He bought the collectors edition and would very much like an actual answer to his ticket.

I’ve posted this in the old/unresolved tickets twice. We were very discouraged to see that there have been responses to numerous tickets that haven’t been open as long as his. GaileGray, I know that you are busy and have a lot of people to help out, but would you mind trying to get him an answer? He’s been waiting since 8/26/12 to be able to play this game again. Thanks!

My boyfriend has received multiple keys for his digital deluxe edition.

He only bought one copy, but they created different accounts… none of which can be used.

His pre-release account with 3-day headstart characters is also unavailable and we’re afraid he might lose his character names.

That ticket was created today. You really need to be patient; this is not an old ticket by any stretch of the imagination.

Gaile, I just wanted to make sure you saw the post that I put up here a couple of days ago. This may very well be one of the oldest tickets here. My friend and I would really appreciate a response, we understand that you guys are SWAMPED with tickets but seeing how you have helped some of the others here get their issues resolved we both hope you will be able to help him as well. I’m doing this for my friend because he hasn’t had the chance to add his serial code because his account has been blocked. He wanted me to post this on his behalf.

Please unblock his account or at least tell him what happened. We both have been trying to figure out what happened but we have been unable to find any answers.
