Speaking of real life, all of us are playing a role-playing game. Anyone can just as well ask: “Is it your real life preference to role-play as the opposite sex?”
All of us have our reasons for making our choices. OP’s suggestion is valid. To shoot it down just because his character gender preference differ from yours is just plain wrong
