Hi Sanid
They look quite a lot like missing textures, the game data file is probably corrupted.
You should run a repair on the GW2 client by following these instructions:
Repair Instructions for Windows
If you are having problems running Guild Wars 2, the data archive may have become corrupted. Please follow these steps to verify and repair the archive:
1. Locate your Gw2.exe file.
2. Right-click on the file and select Create shortcut.
3. Rename this new shortcut to Guild Wars 2 Repair.
4. Right-click on Guild Wars 2 Repair and select Properties.
5. Locate the Target line and add –repair to the end. (Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\gw2.exe” -repair)
6. Click OK.
Double-clicking Guild Wars 2 Repair will begin the repairing your game client. The game will launch when it is complete.
Note: Keep in mind that the verification and repair process will run each time you double-click the Guild Wars 2 Repair shortcut. If you would like to play the game immediately without repairing the archive, double-click on Gw2.exe or another shortcut without the -repair command.

Just make sure to get a decent CPU cooler if you are gonna overclock.. them 2500k’s are beasts for overclocking! Something fairly pricey like a Corsair H80 will get you up towards 5ghz no problems… but it’s generally thought that anthing above 4.3Ghz stops having much of an impact on gaming, so you can always get a cheaper cooler.. just don’t use the stock one for OCing!
That’s a pretty weak PSU, but you did mention you use onboard graphics so it’s probably sufficient.
As someone above me said don’t be too sure it’s not the power supply… This game really hammers a computer, my components run hotter in GW2 than they do on something like Battlefield 4.
Do you know someone with a PSU you could borrow? Hook that up and see if you have the same problems.
If it does turn out to be the PSU try and replace yours with a known good brand, cheaper PSU cause many problems from things like voltage ripple. Corsair PSUs are always a safe bet and you can get a Corsair CX 430W for about £35 GBP.
If you still have the same problems using a known good PSU, it’s worth checking your temps as I said in my first post. Many components have thermal throttling and protection on them.. if they get too hot your computer will shut down to save them burning out.
When it happens, is it just an instant power off, or do you get a blue screen (BSOD)?
Instant power off would suggest a PSU / overheating problem, blue screen could be many other things!

Impossibrruu on GW2
I have a 4770k CPU and a AMD R9 280X and if I max out all graphics places like LA and large encounters still drop down to ~30FPS
Turning off Shadows and reflections keeps things around 50 FPS in a busy place…
Outside of busy areas everything is always above 60FPS fully maxed out with supersampling, but busy places will bring even the mightiest rig to its knees on GW2.
Now the punchline: The above figures are also true when running on my older rig (i5 2500k & HD 6870)
Advice? General gaming: I’d go for a AMD R9 280X, it’s one model down from the flagship 290X but half the price… Big things will be happening with graphics this year so you don’t want to fork out like £500+ on a silly GPU right now, you can pick up a 280X for just over £200 and it will last you a couple of years and put up a good fight against all of the expected advancements without breaking the bank too much.
As far as GW2 goes… Just sit and sulk
Yeah this is getting silly. Ran from LA bank to TP.. No NPCs in TP for about 50 seconds.
Then ran from TP to the laurel vendor @ Fort Marriner… No NPCs appeared for ~3 minutes then the game disconnected…
Meanwhile I’m browsing the internet just fine on my 2nd monitor.
Is there any known issues related to latency? It’s unplayable right now.
Update: When I logged back in all of the players in LA were replaced with generic suits of hollow armor.. after a couple of minutes I got an error relating to the login server :/

Randomly turning off PC’s can be a LOT of things.
Post some system specifications, it may be helpful for others to help you:
Motherboard: model?
CPU: model and speed?
Memory: amount and speed?
PSU: brand, model, wattage?
GPU: model?
Are any of your components overclocked?
Is this ONLY happening with GW2 related tasks?
Have you monitored the temp. of your CPU and GPU?
It would be useful to run some system stress tests to see if they also cause a shutdown. Please make sure to monitor CPU and GPU temps while running these tests.
The random shutdowns could be caused by thermal throttling.
CPU Tests: Prime 95, OCCT.
GPU Tests: FurMark.
(Please be careful with the above applications… They make your components very hot and if you do have a thermal problem it can cause damage…)
RAM Tests: Memtest86+ (Needs to be run from a bootable USB stick / DVD)
Monitoring:
CPU Temp: RealTemp
GPU Temp: MSI Afterburner etc.
Guides are available online for using the above applications, please read them if you are not familiar with them. Find out the normal load temps. for your CPU and GPU and if the tests push them over that then cancel the tests.

I’ve seen something similar, I have an ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound card and while playing GW2 I’ll sometimes hear a popping noise, don’t get it with anything else.
This doesn’t bother me very much as it’s quite infrequent so I haven’t personally tested steps to resolve it, but have you tried playing with the sliders in the audio settings? There is one along the lines of Stability > Performance… try moving it towards stability.. also try lowering the sound quality bar a bit to see if that helps.
Is it on board sound on your motherboard or do you have a dedicated sound card?
Mobo model? (If onboard)
Soundcard model? (If dedicated)
Latest drivers etc. blah blah yadda yadda.
Hi, over the last couple of days I’ve had very high network latency on GW2. All other applications seem to work fine, I have no problems with other online games or video streaming / VoIP etc.
I get lots of skill activation delay, rubber banding of mobs, conditions staying on me when their duration has run out.
I have created rules for GW2 in my firewall (ESET Smart Security 7) and my router allowing it through.
I have attached results from speedtest.net and pingtest.net for reference
Here is a tracert to the IP I get running /ip command in game.

Same on Ring of Fire.. The pirate that is supposed to be dead on the beach is crouched down in a bush north of his proper place for some reason
