Vanbrandt – Norn Elementalist [ICoa] Blackgate
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLTzyn6CGHw
Hiya, here’s my current build (10/30/0/0/30):
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNBkYDbkzJ5t5x3hJOgYKUEnHJBVEgqH2RdEHASword/WH offhand for mobility. Rifle build is centered on max damage by decreasing Killshot CD.
Use a mix of Knight’s and Berserker’s gear.

This is a pretty solid rifle build, and is what I use for the most part. If you want to see how it does in wvw you can check out this vid:
Trying to tweak it to get a little more burst though, it’s a fun spec.
10 – V
30 – III, V, VII
0
0
30 – VI, X, XI
I went ahead and updated the link, so hopefully that works for you. I’m probably going to tweak the sigil and utility sligtly when i get back from vacation though. Going to get a little more bang if i replace fury signet with On My Mark and that halloween sigil, so should be another 15% increase in damage at night.
You could run AC (Ascalonian Catacombs), it’s fairly easy to get geared from there – that’s where I picked up my power/vit/toughness set from. If you do the three paths and one extra you could get one piece a day, or if you have other characters to run it with you could get multiple pieces a day. The vendor is in Lion’s Arch near where you portal in from the Heart of the Mists.
Another bonus is you might get some exotics to sell from the chests in AC, on top of the money you get from completion.
My warrior and elementalist =]
…or space marine and angel thing.
Relevant video from Kill Shot troll.
Mmmm, free publicity <3
I could see 30k+ being possible with full vulnerability, and outmanned buff with my setup, on a lowbie of course. My highest is 26.9k =\
Nice job on that shot though, Sniper Eye – must… get… stars to align for me.
Vane, can you please share what gear you are using? Kinda new to the game so I dont know exaclty what you are wearing for this build. ty
All pieces are Berserker’s (Power/Prec/Crit Dmg), super squishy so I try to hang towards the rear of the fights… which doesn’t make me feel very warrior-like, lol.
You can do more damage without damaging your stats if you did 2 rifles and 2 GS’s. Do rifle/GS of bloodlust until you have full stacks, then switch to rifle/GS of force. You will keep your stacks of bloodlust until downed while having the sigil of force. So essentially you will have +250 power and +5% damage on both weapons, instead of being restricted to one or the other.
That said, I hope to not have to face you in wvw. =P
I just recently started running with 25 stacks of bloodlust, but I think only in a few clips in the video show it. I put a sigil of bloodlust on my sword/warhorn after reading Taugrim’s post about them stacking twice as fast if you have it on both weapons. I usually just run outside a keep and kill some wolves (since they spawn another one with howl) and moas, and max it real fast then join the wvw fun.
Left stats are unbuffed vs buffed, I use scholar runes, butternut squash soup, sigil of force on rifle, and with food crit damage is 109%.
Make sure you have a bleed on target and hit them with Brutal Shot as well. 10% more damage on bleeding targets from traits, 12% from Berserker’s Power trait, 5% from Brutal Shot, 5% from sigil, 10% from scholar runes if > 90% hp.
Sometimes you don’t need all that to one shot someone, but it definitely helps to get the larger hits off.

Hey all,
Been trying out rifle the past week or two and thought I’d share some of the fun I’ve been having in WvW:
Still new at the whole video editing thing, but I figured I’d try this spec out while I wait for the Ranger changes.

Has places you can get at the bottom of that page, heart/karma vendors from blazeridge steppes, sparkfly fen, and a few other zones.
Heavy plate chest? Isn’t the one in the picture the Koda one?
Nope! It’s Heavy Plate – here’s a shot of it with Abyss dye:
Speaking of which, how do you deal with roots and snares that keep getting applied?
I have Mobile Strikes (X) in the Discipline line slotted, so I swap to greatsword and #3 or #5 out, I have auto targeting disabled so if I have Signet of Rage’s swiftness up the two abilities generally put me pretty far out of harms way.
Right now I’m running full Berserker’s gear, so I tend to stay as far back as I possibly can, but Rifle Butt and Aimed Shot are really useful for those sneaky ones that get to the back lines.
I love Rifle Butt for knocking people off cliffs too, charge at them while channeling Volley > Rifle Butt > splat! They could probably turn around and kill me if they wanted to, but with Berserker gear Volley just does so much damage on it’s own too.
I’ve been running that trait setup for a number of weeks now and it’s really fun, but my setup is a tiny bit different.
I use the signet cooldown reduction trait in the discipline line because I run Signet of Might, Fury, and Rage, as well as FGJ and Healing Surge.
Signet of Fury and Healing Surge are my adrenaline reloads, though gaining adrenaline through Volley and Bleeding Shot have never been an issue either in wvw. My rotation is Signet of Rage > FGJ > Signet of Might, which ends up being 13 stacks of might (not counting the extra attack from bloodlust stacks) for 10 secs. Really makes kill shot pack a punch.
I like your double bloodlust stacking though, seems like a quick way to get it maxed out. Right now I’m using greatsword mainly for countering thieves rezzing people with shadow refuge. I run with my guardian buddy and we typically run where the the player went down at and do the greatsword pull-in move and I hundred blades on top of him. It generally works out pretty well and end up getting a two for one deal when they’re visible again.
I was trying for a good few hours to think of a single word name for my new asura character, I gave up and ended up going with Freak Nasty.
:P
I had that problem too, I played ranger to 80 – then switched to warrior so I could giggle at higher numbers.
=\
Named my Sylvari: Turnip The Beet
I was building a Space Marine suit for my rifle warrior build too, armor below is:
Head: (Empty)
Shoulders: Arms of Koda
Chest: Heavy Plate
Gloves: Vigil
Legs: Heavy Plate
Boots: Heavy Plate
Can’t find a head I’m happy with, norn beard glitches through dredge helm and that’s the only one I like.
Fun Fact: Disable the shoulders and paint the armor red and gold for an Iron Man look :P
I use the pistol skin off the guild weaponcrafter, it’s the closest thing I’ve found that looks like a revolver.
Also, attached is some underboob for maximum viewing pleasure.
