whats a raid?

Most of you guys seem pretty bitter about this, but I think this is great news. Why? Because I can go back to not doing fractals again! I can stop deluding myself into thinking fractals are a worthwhile, enjoyable experience, and instead be content in knowing that I am no longer persuaded into doing this unfun slog multiple times every day. What a relief!

P.S. Just make skins purchasable with pristine relics you schmucks.

An acceptable alternative fix for me would be to change the name of Thief’s dagger #2 to “Heartsqueaker.”

I have been getting the loud, echoing crack sound as well. It began doing it for me within the last week. It’s always the same sound clip, and it plays at full volume regardless of what my in-game volumes are set at. It even happens while I have the game minimized, even though I have it set to disable audio when minimized. Large scale WvW battles make it trigger more frequently than anything (probably due to having many sources of sound occurring), although it can happen seemingly at any time.

I honestly thought that this week was going to be a lame matchup. However, tonight was one of the best WvW experiences I’ve had so far in GW2. Our fully upgraded and sieged garrison manned by 25 defenders vs. everything SoS could throw at us.

Took you guys long enough.

Let it be known that tonight, a brave band of 25 Maguumans held our garrison, the last non-SoS controlled location on the entirety of the WvW map, for well over two hours. We held our ground against the weight of the entire SoS zerg, during Oceanic prime time, with their side at maximum capacity. Wave after wave of green invaders crashed upon the walls of our keep, only to be cut down by our stalwarts. And though we eventually fell, we did so in a blaze of glory (and copious amounts of loot bags).

Our heroic last stand, against a force four times the size of our own, was possible due to our powers of communication and strategy. We operated as a unit, rather than a mob. And we had a hell of a lot of fun.

When you have nothing left to lose, there is everything to gain. Maguuma forever.

I just want to chime in and say that ever since the latest patch on 10/1, my graphical performance has also been awful. I used to get a solid ~60 fps during pve, sometimes closer to 80 with not much going on. Now I am lucky to break 40 fps at all, and sit below 30 any time there are a lot of models around (Lion’s Arch, for example). WvW is not viable. Note that I have made absolutely no changes to my system recently, and have all the most recent drivers/updates installed. Whatever change was implemented in that patch has really screwed me over. Please rectify this soon.

How has Emhry Bay kept their orb for so long without it glitching? Maguumas orb got glitched so bad they tried to run the orb and it got stolen by us at Yaks bend lol! Thanks for the sploits EB!

Fun fact: the orb pedestals were both “mysteriously” destroyed in our keep and in the garrison where we had the orb located. We decided to just give the orb to Yak’s at Dreaming Bay rather than having it reset to EB and reward their glitching. A small team of us from Goon Squad ran the orb across the lake and our carrier literally passed it to one of the first YB players he saw. Enjoy they free orb, erstwhile Yaks.
