So after reading replies and looking at other info sources on the interwebs, I was thinking ELE, not D/D ele but maybe staff or other long ranged weapon.

Good idea? Bad Idea?

Condition damage is something I want to stay away from due to the fact that I have built my Necro around that.

Apart from that, I guess DPS mixed with some level of control would be pleasant.

I’m going to say this first as I do not want anyone jumping to the wrong conclusion

I AM NOT LOOKING FOR THE BEST CLASS

With that out of the way I’d like you give you a little background:

I started playing at launch and have played a Necromancer from day 1. However due to changes in circumstance I have found my self unable to play from late last year until today, so my knowledge on recent changes or class specific bits and bobs is somewhat outdated.

I do not like my Necro in WvW, for no other reason than it simply doesn’t “click” with me in that environment.

I would like to roll another toon, specifically for WvW.

In your own opinions (Important bit), what would you recommend?
I would like to be competitive in larger “zerg” battles but also hold my own in smaller fights. I am not looking for an OP class, just something that you think is enjoyable in WvW.

I do not have a melee or range preference.

(Sidenote: I know everyone enjoys different classes but perhaps your own reasoning for liking your class may give me some insight or help in my own decision making)
